Direct products in projective Segre codes [PDF]

open access: yesFinite Fields Appl. 39 (2016), 96--110, 2015
Let K=Fq be a finite field. We introduce a family of projective Reed-Muller-type codes called projective Segre codes. Using commutative algebra and linear algebra methods, we study their basic parameters and show that they are direct products of projective Reed-Muller-type codes.

Lie derivations on trivial extension algebras [PDF]

open access: yesarXiv, 2015
In this paper we provide some conditions under which a Lie derivation on a trivial extension algebra is proper, that is, it can be decomposed into the sum of a derivation and a center valued map. We extend some known results on the properness of Lie derivations of triangular algebras. Some illuminating examples are also included.

More on Lie Derivations of Generalized Matrix Algebras [PDF]

open access: yesarXiv, 2015
Motivated by the Cheung's elaborate work [Linear Multilinear Algebra, 51 (2003), 299-310], we investigate the construction of a Lie derivation on a generalized matrix algebra and apply it to give a characterization for such a Lie derivation to be proper.

Subquandles of affine quandles [PDF]

open access: yesarXiv, 2017
A quandle will be called quasi-affine, if it embeds into an affine quandle. Our main result is a characterization of quasi-affine quandles, by group-theoretic properties of their displacement group, by a universal algebraic condition coming from the commutator theory, and by an explicit construction over abelian groups.

Commuting maps on certain incidence algebras [PDF]

open access: yesarXiv, 2019
Let $\mathcal{R}$ be a $2$-torsion free commutative ring with unity, $X$ a locally finite pre-ordered set and $I(X,\mathcal{R})$ the incidence algebra of $X$ over $\mathcal{R}$. If $X$ consists of a finite number of connected components, in this paper we give a sufficient and necessary condition for each commuting map on $I(X,\mathcal{R})$ being proper.

Upper bounds for the length of non-associative algebras [PDF]

open access: yesarXiv, 2019
We obtain a sharp upper bound for the length of arbitrary non-associative algebra and present an example demonstrating the sharpness of our bound. To show this we introduce a new method of characteristic sequences based on linear algebra technique. This method provides an efficient tool for computing the length function in non-associative case. Then we

Additive Biderivations of Incidence Algebras [PDF]

open access: yesarXiv
Let $\mathcal{R}$ be a commutative ring with unity, and let $P$ be a locally finite poset. The aim of the paper is to provide an explicit description of the additive biderivations of the incidence algebra $I(P, \mathcal{R})$. We demonstrate that every additive biderivation is the sum of several inner biderivations and extremal biderivations ...
