Simulation and Optimization Study of Ultra-Precision Turning Process [PDF]

open access: yesPort Said Engineering Research Journal, 2016
This paper presents a simulation and optimization study of the surface generation process in ultra-precision turning using a formerly proposed model by the authors in preceding work. However, the surface generation model was improved by incorporating the

PI-controlled bioreactor as a generalized Lienard system [PDF]

open access: yesComputers and Chem. Eng. 31 (2007) 136-141, 2005
It is shown that periodic orbits can occur in Cholette's bioreactor model working under the influence of a PI-controller. We find a diffeomorphic coordinate transformation that turns this controlled enzymatic reaction system into a generalized Lienard form.

Maximum Impact of Ionic Strength on Acid‐Catalyzed Reaction Rates Induced by a Zeolite Microporous Environment

open access: yesAngewandte Chemie International Edition, Volume 62, Issue 3, January 16, 2023., 2023
The confined hydronium ions in zeolite create an intraporous ionic environment, which increases acid‐catalyzed reaction rates in a volcanic pattern at both saturated and low concentrations of substrates in the pores. Abstract The intracrystalline ionic environment in microporous zeolite can remarkably modify the excess chemical potential of adsorbed ...

Superchaotropic Nano‐ion Binding as a Gelation Motif in Cellulose Ether Solutions

open access: yesAngewandte Chemie International Edition, Volume 62, Issue 3, January 16, 2023., 2023
Nano‐ions, like polyoxometalates and boron clusters, co‐assemble strongly with non‐ionic solutes in water driven by the chaotropic effect. Here, nano‐ion assembly with non‐ionic cellulose ethers (CE) is shown to result in unprecedented thickening effects and gelation of CE‐solutions. An interplay of electrostatic repulsion and attraction between chains

Evapotranspiration Calculation for South Carolina, USA and Creation Different ANFIS Models for ET Estimation. [PDF]

open access: yesAerul şi Apa: Componente ale Mediului, 2019
Evapotranspiration (ET) is a significant parameter of hydrologic cycle. Accurate calculation or estimation of ET is an important issue for water management engineers and irrigation engineers. However, it is not always so simple to calculate ET because of

Bayesian Self‐Optimization for Telescoped Continuous Flow Synthesis

open access: yesAngewandte Chemie International Edition, Volume 62, Issue 3, January 16, 2023., 2023
An autonomous continuous flow platform for the rapid development of multistep synthetic pathways is reported. New multipoint sampling and Bayesian optimization techniques were combined, enabling simultaneous identification of optimum reaction conditions within a pharmaceutical process. The short optimization times achieved are promising for development
