An Extragradient Method for Fixed Point Problems and Variational Inequality Problems

open access: yesJournal of Inequalities and Applications, 2007
We present an extragradient method for fixed point problems and variational inequality problems. Using this method, we can find the common element of the set of fixed points of a nonexpansive mapping and the set of solutions of the variational inequality

A Fixed Point Approach to the Stability of a Mean Value Type Functional Equation

open access: yesMathematics, 2017
We prove the generalized Hyers–Ulam stability of a mean value type functional equation f ( x ) − g ( y ) = ( x − y ) h ( x + y ) by applying a method originated from fixed point theory.

The convergence of the Euler's method

open access: yesJournal of Numerical Analysis and Approximation Theory, 2010
In this article we study the Euler's iterative method. For this method we give a global theorem of convergence. In the last section of the paper we give a numerical example which illustrates the result exposed in this work.

Stability of additivity and fixed point methods [PDF]

open access: yesFixed Point Theory and Applications, 2013
We show that the fixed point methods allow to investigate Ulam’s type stability of additivity quite efficiently and precisely. Using them we generalize, extend and complement some earlier classical results concerning the stability of the additive Cauchy equation.

An Inertial Method for Split Common Fixed Point Problems in Hilbert Spaces

open access: yesJournal of Mathematics, 2021
In this paper, we consider the split common fixed point problem in Hilbert spaces. By using the inertial technique, we propose a new algorithm for solving the problem. Under some mild conditions, we establish two weak convergence theorems of the proposed

Detection of fixed points in spatiotemporal signals by clustering method [PDF]

open access: yesPhys.Rev.E, Vol.61, No.5, May 2000, 2000
We present a method to determine fixed points in spatiotemporal signals. A 144-dimensioanl simulated signal, similar to a Kueppers-Lortz instability, is analyzed and its fixed points are reconstructed.

EFIX: Exact fixed point methods for distributed optimization

open access: yesJournal of Global Optimization, 2022
AbstractWe consider strongly convex distributed consensus optimization over connected networks. EFIX, the proposed method, is derived using quadratic penalty approach. In more detail, we use the standard reformulation—transforming the original problem into a constrained problem in a higher dimensional space—to define a sequence of suitable quadratic ...

The immunological interface: dendritic cells as key regulators in metabolic dysfunction‐associated steatotic liver disease

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Metabolic dysfunction‐associated steatotic liver disease (MASLD) affects nearly one‐third of the global population and poses a significant risk of progression to cirrhosis or liver cancer. Here, we discuss the roles of hepatic dendritic cell subtypes in MASLD, highlighting their distinct contributions to disease initiation and progression, and their ...

Ulam stability of hom-ders in fuzzy Banach algebras

open access: yesAIMS Mathematics, 2022
This paper aims to investigate a new type of derivations in a fuzzy Banach algebra. Moreover, by using the fixed point method, we obtain some stability results of the hom-der in fuzzy Banach algebras associated with the functional equation $ f(x ...

Transfinite methods in metric fixed‐point theory [PDF]

open access: yesAbstract and Applied Analysis, 2003
This is a brief survey of the use of transfinite induction in metric fixed‐point theory. Among the results discussed in some detail is the author′s 1989 result on directionally nonexpansive mappings (which is somewhat sharpened), a result of Kulesza and Lim giving conditions when countable compactness implies compactness, a recent inwardness result for
