Well Tempered Cosmology: Scales [PDF]
Well tempered cosmology provides a well defined path for obtaining cosmology with a low energy cosmic acceleration despite a high (Planck) energy cosmological constant $\Lambda$, through a scalar field dynamically canceling $\Lambda$. We explore relations between the mass scales entering the various Horndeski gravity terms, and focus on the cases of ...

The Structure and Interpretation of Cosmology: Part I - General Relativistic Cosmology
The purpose of this work is to review, clarify, and critically analyse modern mathematical cosmology. The emphasis is upon mathematical objects and structures, rather than numerical computations. This paper concentrates on general relativistic cosmology.

The Part of the Whole. Cosmology as an Empirical and Analytical Concept
In the study of Old Norse religion, mythology and cosmology are two core concepts frequently used in inter-disciplinary discussions as to the content, changes and spread of the pre-Christian religion in Scandinavia.

Modern Cosmology: Assumptions and Limits [PDF]
Physical cosmology tries to understand the Universe at large with its origin and evolution. Observational and experimental situations in cosmology do not allow us to proceed purely based on the empirical means. We examine in which sense our cosmological assumptions in fact have shaped our current cosmological worldview with consequent inevitable limits.

Isotropic cosmological singularities in spatially-homogeneous models with a cosmological constant [PDF]
We prove well-posedness of the initial value problem for the Einstein equations for spatially-homogeneous cosmologies with data at an isotropic cosmological singularity, for which the matter content is either a cosmological constant with collisionless particles of a single mass (possibly zero) or a cosmological constant with a perfect fluid having the ...

Covariant entropy conjecture and concordance cosmological models [PDF]
Recently a covariant entropy conjecture has been proposed for dynamical horizons. We apply this conjecture to concordance cosmological models, namely, those cosmological models filled with perfect fluids, in the presence of a positive cosmological constant. As a result, we find this conjecture has a severe constraint power.
