15 GHz Monitoring of Gamma-ray Blazars with the OVRO 40 Meter Telescope in Support of Fermi [PDF]

open access: yes, 2009
We present results from the first two years of our fast-cadence 15 GHz gamma-ray blazar monitoring program, part of the F-GAMMA radio monitoring project.

3HWC J0631+107/LHAASO J0631+1040: A TeV Halo Powered by the Pulsar J0631+1036?

open access: yesThe Astrophysical Journal, 2023
PSR J0631+1036 is a middle-aged pulsar with properties similar to those of the nearby Geminga pulsar. It is bright in γ -rays, and has been noted as the only source possibly associated with the TeV source 3HWC J0631+107 (also the LHAASO J0631+1040).

Fermi Large Area Telescope Bright Gamma-ray Source List

open access: yes, 2009
Following its launch in June 2008, the Fermi Gamma-ray Space Telescope (Fermi) began a sky survey in August. The Large Area Telescope (LAT) on Fermi in 3 months produced a deeper and better-resolved map of the gamma-ray sky than any previous space ...

Jet Physics of Accreting Super-Massive Black Holes in the Era of the Fermi Gamma-ray Space Telescope

open access: yesFrontiers in Astronomy and Space Sciences, 2017
The Fermi Gamma-ray Space Telescope with its main instrument on-board, the Large Area Telescope (LAT), opened a new era in the study of high-energy emission from Active Galactic Nuclei (AGN).

BL Lacertae Objects and the Extragalactic Gamma-Ray Background

open access: yes, 2011
A tight correlation between gamma-ray and radio emission is found for a sample of BL Lacertae (BL Lac) objects detected by Fermi Gamma-ray Space Telescope (Fermi) and the Energetic Gamma-Ray Experiment Telescope (EGRET).

Searching for the most distant blazars with the Fermi Gamma-ray Space Telescope [PDF]

open access: yesMonthly Notices of the Royal Astronomical Society, 2010
We investigate the prospects for discovering blazars at very high-redshifts (z>3-6) with the Fermi Gamma-Ray Space Telescope (Fermi), employing a model for the evolving gamma-ray luminosity function (GLF) of the blazar population. Our previous GLF model is used as a basis, which features luminosity-dependent density evolution implied from X-ray data

Dark Matter Signals in the gamma-ray sky

open access: yesEPJ Web of Conferences, 2014
Detection of gamma rays and cosmic rays from the annihilation or decay of dark matter particles is a promising method for identifying dark matter, understanding its intrinsic properties, and mapping its distribution in the universe.

Blazar jet physics in the age of Fermi

open access: yes, 2010
The impact of the Fermi Gamma-ray Space Telescope on blazar research is reviewed. This includes a brief description of the Fermi Large Area Telescope, a summary of the various classes of extragalactic sources found in the First Large Area Telescope AGN ...

Quantification of Perturbation to the Daytime Lower Ionosphere From a Gamma Ray Burst Using ELF Remote Sensing

open access: yesGeophysical Research Letters, Volume 52, Issue 22, 28 November 2025.
Abstract On 9 October 2022, a powerful gamma ray burst (GRB), GRB221009A, caused significant changes in the electron density of the lower ionosphere, as evidenced by VLF (3–30 kHz) radio wave observations. However, GRB221009A did not yield any observable signatures at the Schumann resonances (∼8, ∼14 Hz), which are also sensitive to the lower ...
