Dual dynamic programming for stochastic programs over an infinite horizon [PDF]

open access: yesarXiv, 2023
We consider a dual dynamic programming algorithm for solving stochastic programs over an infinite horizon. We show non-asymptotic convergence results when using an explorative strategy, and we then enhance this result by reducing the dependence of the effective planning horizon from quadratic to linear.

Well‐being on supportive techniques in amyotrophic lateral sclerosis: from neurologists' perspective

open access: yesAnnals of Clinical and Translational Neurology, Volume 9, Issue 12, Page 1874-1883, December 2022., 2022
Abstract Objective To investigate intercultural neurologists' perception of well‐being in patients with amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS) using gastrostomy (PEG), non‐invasive, and/or invasive ventilation (NIV/IV) and to analyse the determinants and impact on the management of the above medical interventions (MIs).

Early‐onset Alzheimer's disease shows a distinct neuropsychological profile and more aggressive trajectories of cognitive decline than late‐onset

open access: yesAnnals of Clinical and Translational Neurology, Volume 9, Issue 12, Page 1962-1973, December 2022., 2022
Abstract Objectives Early‐ and late‐onset Alzheimer's disease (EOAD and LOAD) share the same neuropathological traits but show distinct cognitive features. We aimed to explore baseline and longitudinal outcomes of global and domain‐specific cognitive function in a well characterized cohort of patients with a biomarker‐based diagnosis.

Photovoltaic Assemblies for the Power Generation of the Exomars Missions

open access: yesE3S Web of Conferences, 2017
This paper provides a detailed description of the Photovoltaic Assembly (PVA) and, in particular, how the extreme environmental and operative requirements of the Exomars missions are met. “Exomars” is a program established by the European Space Agency to

Brain magnetic resonance imaging predictors in anti‐N‐methyl‐D‐aspartate receptor encephalitis

open access: yesAnnals of Clinical and Translational Neurology, Volume 9, Issue 12, Page 1974-1984, December 2022., 2022
Abstract Objective Brain magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) findings in anti‐N‐methyl‐D‐aspartate receptor (NMDAR) encephalitis are nonspecific and rarely have obvious associations with clinical characteristics and outcomes. This study aimed to comprehensively describe the MRI features of patients with NMDAR encephalitis, examine their associations with ...

A transient inflammatory response contributes to oxaliplatin neurotoxicity in mice

open access: yesAnnals of Clinical and Translational Neurology, Volume 9, Issue 12, Page 1985-1998, December 2022., 2022
Abstract Objectives Peripheral neuropathy is a relevant dose‐limiting adverse event that can affect up to 90% of oncologic patients with colorectal cancer receiving oxaliplatin treatment. The severity of neurotoxicity often leads to dose reduction or even premature cessation of chemotherapy.

Live, Rich, and Composable: Qualities for Programming Beyond Static Text [PDF]

open access: yesarXiv, 2023
Efforts to push programming beyond static textual code have sought to imbue programming with multiple distinct qualities. One long-acknowledged quality is liveness: providing programmers with in-depth feedback about a program's dynamic behavior as the program is edited.
