Analysis, Simulation and Control of a New Measles Epidemic Model [PDF]
In this paper the problem of modeling and controlling the measles epidemic spread is faced. A new model is proposed and analysed; besides the categories usually considered in measles modeling, the susceptible, the exposed, the infected, the removed and,

Humoral and cellular immunity to measles and rubella virus antigens in healthy subjects
An issue of eradicating measles and rubella virus-induced infections currently remains unresolved, despite existing effective methods for specific prophylaxis and WHO’s commitment to a mass vaccination policy. While improving epidemic situation, analysis

Non-Measles Hemadsorption in a Cell Line Persistently Infected with Measles Virus (BGM/MV) [PDF]
Adsorption of Rhesus monkey erythrocytes to the plasma membranes of measles virus infected cells is frequently carried out to detect the presence of plasma membrane-associated measles virus hemagglutinin.

Adult‐Onset Subacute Sclerosing Panencephalitis Presenting With Subacute Cognitive Deficits
ABSTRACT We describe the case of a 41‐year‐old man diagnosed with adult‐onset subacute sclerosing panencephalitis (SSPE). The patient presented with subacute progressive cognitive deficits and a neuropsychological profile indicating predominant frontoparietal dysfunction. MRI showed only mild parietal‐predominant cerebral atrophy.

Effects of Biological Sex and Age on Cerebrospinal Fluid Markers—A Retrospective Observational Study
ABSTRACT Objective Cerebrospinal fluid (CSF) analysis is a key diagnostic tool for neurological diseases. To date, only a few studies have investigated in larger cohorts the effect of age and biological sex on diagnostic markers extracted from CSF. Methods For this retrospective observational study, 4163 CSF findings (2012–2020) were evaluated.

ZNRD2 Mediated Nucleoprotein Aggregation Impairs Respiratory Syncytial Virus Replication
During RSV infection, nucleoprotein (N) forms RNA‐bound oligomers. The host protein ZNRD2 binds to these oligomers, promoting their transition into insoluble aggregates. These aggregates simultaneously sequester functional N to restrict viral production and disrupt chaperonin assembly quality control by interfering with ZNRD2's role as an adaptor ...

Etoposide-induced apoptosis in murine neuroblastoma (N2A) cells infected with Paramyxoviruses
The present study aimed to determine whether measles virus can induce apoptosis in murine neuroblastoma cells and the behavior of these cells under acute infection with measles virus or persistent infection with canine distemper virus upon treatment with
