An effective matrix model for dynamical end of the world branes in Jackiw-Teitelboim gravity
We study Jackiw-Teitelboim gravity with dynamical end of the world branes in asymptotically nearly AdS2 spacetimes. We quantize this theory in Lorentz signature, and compute the Euclidean path integral summing over topologies including dynamical branes ...

Operators of quantum-reduced loop gravity from the perspective of full loop quantum gravity [PDF]
Quantum-reduced loop gravity is a model of loop quantum gravity, which - from the technical point of view - is characterized by the remarkably simple form of its basic operators. In this article we examine the operators of the quantum-reduced model from the perspective of full loop quantum gravity.

Thin accretion disk images of the black hole in symmergent gravity [PDF]
In this paper, we study circular orbits, effective potential, and thin-accretion disk of a black hole in symmergent gravity within the Novikov-Thorne model in a way including the energy flux and temperature distribution. We determine bounds on symmergent gravity parameters and conclude that the accretion disk could be used as an astrophysical tool to ...

An Aerial–Aquatic Hitchhiking Robot with Remora‐Inspired Tactile Sensors and Thrust Vectoring Units
An untethered aerial–aquatic hitchhiking robot that can be remotely controlled for flying, swimming, and transiting air–water boundaries rapidly (0.16 s), is presented. Notably, it can autonomously attach to various surfaces in both air and water environments using a remora‐inspired suction disc with flexible tactile sensors.

Tunneling Analysis Under the Influences of Einstein-Gauss-Bonnet Black Holes Gravity Theory [PDF]
We consider an equation of motion for Glashow-Weinberg-Salam model and apply the semiclassical Hamilton-Jacobi process and WKB approximation in order to compute the tunneling probability of W-bosons in the background of electromagnetic field to analyze the quantum gravity effects of charged black hole(BH) in Einstein-Gauss-Bonnet gravity theory.

On 2D quantum gravity coupled to a σ-model [PDF]
This contribution is a review of the method of isomonodromic quantization of dimensionally reduced gravity. Our approach is based on the complete separation of variables in the isomonodromic sector of the model and the related ``two-time" Hamiltonian structure.

Quantum gravity as a group field theory: a sketch [PDF]
We give a very brief introduction to the group field theory approach to quantum gravity, a generalisation of matrix models for 2-dimensional quantum gravity to higher dimension, that has emerged recently from research in spin foam models.

Spin foam models for quantum gravity [PDF]
In this article we review the present status of the spin foam formulation of non-perturbative (background independent) quantum gravity. The article is divided in two parts. In the first part we present a general introduction to the main ideas emphasizing their motivations from various perspectives.

2D gravitational Mabuchi action on Riemann surfaces with boundaries
We study the gravitational action induced by coupling two-dimensional non-conformal, massive matter to gravity on a Riemann surface with boundaries. A small-mass expansion gives back the Liouville action in the massless limit, while the first-order mass ...
