Special Pyrheliometer Shroud Development [PDF]

open access: yes, 1984
To insure that the insolation values accurately represent the input power to a power conversion unit the field of view (FOV) of the concentrator aperture and the insolation radiometer must be the same.

Light‐Fueled In‐Operando Shape Reconfiguration, Fixation, and Recovery of Magnetically Actuated Microtextured Covalent Adaptable Networks

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
A covalent adaptable network with dynamic disulfide bonds (DS‐CAN) can rearrange its molecular topology through heating or UV irradiation. When combined with ferromagnetic particles, its photoresponsiveness at room temperature enables contactless, spatiotemporal regulation of dynamic bond exchanges during magnetomechanical actuation.

Experimental Implementation of a Passive Millimeter-Wave Fast Sequential Lobing Radiometric Seeker Sensor

open access: yesAerospace, 2018
The paper investigates the theory of operation of a passive millimeter-wave seeker sensor using a fast electronic sequential-lobing technique and the experimental validation obtained through laboratory trials. The paper analyzes in detail the theoretical

Thermodielectric radiometer [PDF]

open access: yes, 1970
Radiometer measures microsecond pulses of radiant flux in the presence of electromagnetic noise. It consists of a charged capacitor that delivers a voltage pulse proportional to the thermally induced depolarization of its polymeric ...

Radiometals in Diagnosis and Therapy [PDF]

open access: yesMetal-Based Drugs, 1997
Radiometals are the mainstay of both diagnostic and therapeutic nuclear medicine because the choice of radionuclide is primarily dictated by nuclear decay characteristics rather than chemistry.  99mTc is the most frequently used diagnostic radionuclide and requires coordination in a diversity of chemical disguises to permit imaging of a variety of ...

Errors Analysis and Improvement on Measurement Method for Microwave/Millimeter-Wave Emissivity of Small Targets by Radiometer

open access: yesIEEE Access, 2019
When using traditional methods to measure the microwave/millimeter-wave emissivity of small targets, errors arise due to that the antenna's main lobe and side lobe cannot be completely covered by the target.

Relative humidity vertical profiling using lidar-based synergistic methods in the framework of the Hygra-CD campaign [PDF]

open access: yes, 2018
Accurate continuous measurements of relative hu- midity (RH) vertical profiles in the lower troposphere have become a significant scientific challenge. In recent years a synergy of various ground-based remote sensing instru- ments have been successfully ...
