How cold is cold dark matter? [PDF]

open access: yesJournal of Cosmology and Astroparticle Physics, 2014
If cold dark matter consists of particles, these must be non-interacting and non-relativistic by definition. In most cold dark matter models however, dark matter particles inherit a non-vanishing velocity dispersion from interactions in the early universe, a velocity that redshifts with cosmic expansion but certainly remains non-zero.

Cold dark matter: Controversies on small scales. [PDF]

open access: yesProc Natl Acad Sci U S A, 2015
The cold dark matter (CDM) cosmological model has been remarkably successful in explaining cosmic structure over an enormous span of redshift, but it has faced persistent challenges from observations that probe the innermost regions of dark matter halos ...

WISPy cold dark matter [PDF]

open access: yesJournal of Cosmology and Astroparticle Physics, 2012
Very weakly interacting slim particles (WISPs), such as axion-like particles (ALPs) or hidden photons (HPs), may be non-thermally produced via the misalignment mechanism in the early universe and survive as a cold dark matter population until today.

The Structure of Cold Dark Matter Halos [PDF]

open access: yesThe Astrophysical Journal, 1996
We use N-body simulations to investigate the structure of dark halos in the standard Cold Dark Matter cosmogony. Halos are excised from simulations of cosmologically representative regions and are resimulated individually at high resolution. We study objects with masses ranging from those of dwarf galaxy halos to those of rich galaxy clusters.

Dark matter effect on the weak deflection angle by black holes at the center of Milky Way and M87 galaxies [PDF]

open access: yesEuropean Physical Journal C: Particles and Fields, 2022
In this paper, we investigated the effect of dark matter on the weak deflection angle by black holes at the galactic center. We consider three known dark matter density profiles such as the Cold Dark Matter, Scalar Field Dark Matter, and the Universal ...

Axinos as Cold Dark Matter [PDF]

open access: yesAIP Conference Proceedings, 2006
The connection of Dark Matter to our particle physics model is still one of the open cosmological questions. In these proceedings I will argue that axinos can be successful Cold Dark Matter candidates in models with Supersymmetry and the Peccei-Quinn solution of the strong CP problem.
