Polar decompositions of bounded linear functionals on operator subalgebras

open access: yes, 1993
Let M M be a von Neumann algebra and let φ \varphi be a normal linear functional on a strongly closed C ∗ {C^{\ast }} -subalgebra N ...

Antibody‐Precomplexed Hemagglutinin Constructs Multivalently Bind Sialylated Glycan Receptors with Variable Valencies

open access: yesAdvanced Materials Interfaces, EarlyView.
Hemagglutinin precomplexation with antibodies (Abs) results in broad valency distributions, though it increases the total avidity from mM to nM to high nM. The valency distribution and the orientation of multivalent HA‐Ab complexes determine the extent of binding to different types of assays, whether the receptors are displayed in 2D or 3D.

Multidimensional Heat‐Path Engineering in Thermal Interface Materials for High‐Performance Electronics

open access: yesAdvanced Materials Technologies, EarlyView.
This review presents multidimensional heat‐path engineering for thermal interface materials, showing how internal heat transport, interfacial contact and bondline formation, and processing‐defined pathway architectures together determine bonded‐joint thermal performance.

Short and Length‐Independent Group Delay Supported by Topological Edge States in Finite‐Size Su–Schrieffer–Heeger Chains

open access: yesAdvanced Materials Technologies, EarlyView.
This study demonstrates short, length‐independent group delay supported by topological edge states in open Su–Schrieffer–Heeger networks. Strong boundary port coupling enables an order‐of‐magnitude latency reduction compared to bulk modes, alongside robust protection against bulk disorder.

Scope-bounded pushdown languages [PDF]

open access: yes, 2014
We study the formal language theory of multistack push-down automata (Mpa) restricted to computations where a symbol can be popped from a stack S only if it was pushed within a bounded number of contexts of S (scoped Mpa).

Self‐Sealing Microneedles Improve Precision and Reduce Reflux in Subretinal Cell Transplantation

open access: yesAdvanced Materials Technologies, EarlyView.
Ultrafine 49G microneedles enable subretinal delivery of induced pluripotent stem cell‐derived retinal pigment epithelial cells through a 50 µm outer diameter tip. Compared with conventional 38G microcannulas, these microneedles reduce cell suspension reflux in a rabbit model, highlighting the potential of microinvasive delivery instruments to improve ...

HAASP: History-Aware Adaptive Shortest-Path Routing for Software-Defined Networks

open access: yesMuthanna Journal of Pure Science
Load-aware routing in Software-Defined Networking (SDN) has two structural limitations: path selection is based on instantaneous link utilization, forcing oscillations in routing as the controller makes decisions that perturb the measurements driving ...

Low‐Outgassing Liquid Metal–Silicone Composites for Multifunctional Space Applications

open access: yesAdvanced Materials Technologies, EarlyView.
Integrating liquid metal microdroplets into a space‐grade silicone creates a multifunctional composite while preserving its inherent flexibility and low‐outgassing behavior. The composite has 11×$\times$ higher thermal conductivity while remaining thermally stable and maintaining a total mass loss of ≤$\le$ 1% under thermal vacuum testing.

Geopressure and Trap Integrity Predictions from 3-D Seismic Data: Case Study of the Greater Ughelli Depobelt, Niger Delta Pressions de pores et prévisions de l’intégrité des couvertures à partir de données sismiques 3D : le cas du grand sous-bassin d’Ughelli, Delta du Niger

open access: yesOil & Gas Science and Technology, 2012
The deep drilling campaign in the Niger Delta has demonstrated the need for a detailed geopressure and trap integrity (drilling margin) analysis as an integral and required step in prospect appraisal.

Processing‐Driven Engineering of Transparent Conductive In‐Zn‐O Thin Films: A Comparative Study of Spin‐Coating, Inkjet Printing, and Screen Printing

open access: yesAdvanced Materials Technologies, EarlyView.
Transparent, electrically conductive In–Zn–O thin films are solution‐processed by spin coating, inkjet printing, and, as demonstrated here for the first time, screen printing. The chosen deposition technique determines the solution composition, which in turn governs the resulting microstructure and optoelectronic performance.
