Association between intimate partner violence and birth outcomes among pregnant women in the STOP‐VIO‐PREG cohort: A cohort study utilizing Patient‐Reported Outcome and Danish registers data

open access: yesActa Obstetricia et Gynecologica Scandinavica, Volume 104, Issue 9, Page 1731-1741, September 2025.
Our results demonstrate a significantly heightened risk of adverse birth outcomes, such as preterm birth and low birthweight in a large cohort of pregnant women in Denmark among women who screened positive for intimate partner violence. Abstract Introduction Adverse birth outcomes, such as preterm birth, low birthweight, and small for gestational age ...

Exploring stimuli‐responsive luminescence in metal halide perovskites for emerging applications

open access: yesResponsive Materials, Volume 3, Issue 3, August 2025.
The sensitivity of metal halide perovskites to external stimuli categorizes them as emerging responsive materials. This review systematically discusses their stimuli‐responsive luminescent properties, elucidates their diverse applications in information‐related domains, and outlines the current challenges and prospects.

Relief craving severity moderates nonpharmacological treatment outcomes in treatment‐seeking older adults with alcohol use disorder

open access: yesAlcohol, Clinical and Experimental Research, Volume 49, Issue 8, Page 1803-1817, August 2025.
Relief craving, more than reward craving, defined four distinct profiles among older adults with alcohol use disorder in this secondary analysis of an RCT. Individuals with higher relief craving were less likely to benefit from nonpharmacological treatments.

Complete Mitochondrial Genomes Provide Evidence of a Killer Whale Refugium Off the Coast of Japan During the Last Glacial Maximum

open access: yesJournal of Biogeography, Volume 52, Issue 8, August 2025.
ABSTRACT Aim During glacial periods, highly mobile species often shifted to warmer, ice‐free regions known as refugia, which frequently maintained higher genetic diversity than newly colonised areas after glacial retreat. We analyse complete mitogenome sequences from 11 killer whale samples in Nemuro Strait to test the hypothesis that waters around ...

Identification of LMA‐tolerance QTL in a biparental winter wheat mapping population (Xerpha/Bobtail)

open access: yesCrop Science, Volume 65, Issue 4, July/August 2025.
Abstract Late‐maturity α‐amylase (LMA) is an emerging cause of low falling numbers in US wheat (Triticum aestivum L.) causing financial losses for growers. Quantitative trait loci (QTLs) associated with α‐amylase expression during mid‐late grain fill, characteristic of LMA, have been mapped across all three wheat genomes.

Taxing Language: Do Interpreting Fees Affect Immigrant Healthcare Usage? Evidence From a Regression Discontinuity Design

open access: yesPublic Administration Review, Volume 85, Issue 4, Page 1019-1037, July/August 2025.
ABSTRACT Research has shown that administrative burdens significantly influence benefit uptake across various welfare programs in the U.S. and beyond. However, much of the existing research has focused primarily on program take‐up, leaving a gap in our understanding of how burdens affect the ongoing use of welfare benefits.

Assessing the Global Impact of Brain Small Vessel Disease on Cognition: The Multi‐Ethnic Study of Atherosclerosis

open access: yesAlzheimer's &Dementia, Volume 21, Issue 6, June 2025.
Abstract INTRODUCTION We aimed to examine the global impact of brain small vessel disease (SVD) on cognitive performance. METHODS In 892 participants from the Multi‐Ethnic Study of Atherosclerosis (MESA), we derived perivascular spaces (PVS), white matter hyperintensities (WMH), microbleeds (MB), and white matter fractional anisotropy (FA) and trace ...
