Improved Inverse Identification of Anisotropic Polymer Properties via FEMU and VFM With Sensitivity Analysis

open access: yesPolymer Engineering &Science, Volume 66, Issue 2, Page 689-702, February 2026.
Heterogeneous biaxial testing for anisotropic elastic properties identification from full displacement field. ABSTRACT The stretch‐blowing process of PET bottles induces significant anisotropy in mechanical properties due to the differential elongation of macromolecular chains.

Classroom Climate and the Basic Psychological Needs of Students in Special Education: The Moderating Role of Anxiety and Gender

open access: yesPsychology in the Schools, Volume 63, Issue 2, Page 443-456, February 2026.
ABSTRACT This study investigated the associations between classroom climate dimensions (academic support, emotional support, and classroom organization) and basic psychological need satisfaction in students with special educational needs (SEN). It also examined whether anxiety symptoms and gender moderate these associations. Students in Grades 5 and 6 (

Water Vapor Vertical Distribution on Mars After Six Years of TGO/NOMAD Solar Occultations: 1. Global Climatology

open access: yesJournal of Geophysical Research: Planets, Volume 131, Issue 2, February 2026.
Abstract We present vertical profiles of water vapor obtained during six continuous years of solar occultation observations in the infrared by the Nadir and Occultation for MArs Discovery (NOMAD) instrument on board Trace Gas Orbiter. The retrievals have been performed with an inversion code previously applied to smaller samples of this data set, but ...

Water Vapor Vertical Distribution on Mars After Six Years of TGO/NOMAD Solar Occultations: 2. Cross‐Validation Within TGO and Comparison With MPCM

open access: yesJournal of Geophysical Research: Planets, Volume 131, Issue 2, February 2026.
Abstract This is the second part of an investigation of water vapor in the Martian atmosphere using solar occultation observations by the Nadir and Occultation for MArs Discovery (NOMAD) spectrometer on board the ExoMars Trace Gas Orbiter. Following the analysis of six Earth years of NOMAD observations performed in the first part, a cross‐validation ...

Behavioural tactics across thermal gradients align with partial morphological divergence in brook charr

open access: yesJournal of Animal Ecology, Volume 95, Issue 2, Page 359-376, February 2026.
Our study reveals that brook charr adopt distinct ‘warm’ and ‘cool’ behavioural tactics to balance foraging and thermal stress in stratified lakes. By linking fine‐scale thermal movements to morphology, we show how temperature‐driven habitat use promotes individual specialization and potential ecotypic divergence under climate change.

Anti-solar differential rotation on the active sub-giant HU Virginis

open access: yes, 2016
Measuring surface differential rotation (DR) on different types of stars is important when characterizing the underlying stellar dynamo. It has been suggested that anti-solar DR laws can occur when strong meridional flows exist. We aim to investigate the

Systematic Review and Meta‐Analysis of the Association Between Subjective and Objective Cognitive Function in Mood Disorders

open access: yesBipolar Disorders, Volume 28, Issue 1, February 2026.
ABSTRACT Introduction The association between subjective and objective cognitive function in mood disorders is hotly debated, particularly in the choice of outcomes to measure pro‐cognitive effects of interventions. We systematically reviewed the evidence regarding this association, including analysis of predicting or moderating factors.

Come from away: Reconstructing a long‐range migratory flight of spruce budworm moths to Newfoundland, Canada Venues de loin : reconstitution d'un vol migratoire de longue distance de tordeuses des bourgeons de l'épinette vers Terre‐Neuve, au Canada

open access: yesEcological Entomology, Volume 51, Issue 1, Page 41-58, February 2026.
Lagrangian atmospheric models were used in conjunction with ecophysiological factors to reconstruct the path and meteorological conditions of a long‐range migration flight of spruce budworm moths to Newfoundland, Canada. Moths travelled under high winds and warm temperatures that favoured their migratory flight until encountering cooler temperatures ...

Sustainable cosmetic ingredient alternatives to replace conventional ingredients: Case studies in moisturizers and lipsticks

open access: yesInternational Journal of Cosmetic Science, Volume 48, Issue 1, Page 83-96, February 2026.
Project outline from ingredient selection and screening to lipstick and moisturizer formulation, testing results and overall conclusions. Abstract Objective Over the last two decades, consumers have been calling for greater transparency for ingredient sourcing and manufacturing practices; therefore, more sustainable alternatives need to be evaluated to
