Status quo on identified transformation products of organic ultraviolet filters and their persistence

open access: yesInternational Journal of Cosmetic Science, Volume 45, Issue S1, Page 101-126, October 2023., 2023
This study reviewed literature and lists the identified transformation products of organic UV filters formed in abiotic and biotic processes. A data gap was identified regarding the information on biodegradability of transformation products of UV filters. For more than 80% of the transformation products, no information on biodegradability was available.
