Identifying the exposure of taxonomic, functional, and phylogenetic diversity of steppe birds to renewable energy development

open access: yesConservation Biology, Volume 40, Issue 5, October 2026.
Abstract Biodiversity is globally threatened by human impacts, including land‐use transformation and climate change, which has prompted a rapid transition from fossil fuels to cleaner energy sources, such as photovoltaic (PV) energy. However, utility‐scale PV plants require vast areas and can lead to conflicts with biodiversity conservation, making ...

Insights for conservation from the Ecological Knowledge Games project

open access: yesConservation Biology, Volume 40, Issue 5, October 2026.
Abstract Environmental conservation research requires robust methods for collecting large‐scale behavioral data and engaging diverse stakeholders in decision‐making processes. We (Y.P., A.B.D., and N.B.) created EcoKnowGames (Ecological Knowledge Games), a transdisciplinary project that develops knowledge games for conservation science and data ...

Acclimatization length and post‐release spatial cohesion in translocated Griffon Vultures (Gyps fulvus)

open access: yesIbis, Volume 168, Issue 4, Page 1649-1663, October 2026.
Translocations are often used in the conservation of large raptors, including Old World vultures. Different release methods are usually assessed by comparing the movement patterns and survival of released individuals. However, these approaches fail to capture the gregarious behaviour of many vulture species.

Separation und Valorisierung von Chlor aus Restgasströmen

open access: yesAngewandte Chemie, Volume 138, Issue 40, 28 September 2026.

Nullwertige Nickelatome stabilisiert in oberflächengestützten metallorganischen Ketten

open access: yesAngewandte Chemie, Volume 138, Issue 39, 21 September 2026.

An Interconnection Strategy for Thermally Sensitive Solar Cells Employing Electrically Conductive Tape

open access: yesSolar RRL, Volume 10, Issue 17, 15 September 2026.
Commercially available electrically conductive tapes are evaluated as low‐temperature interconnection materials for next‐generation photovoltaic devices. The tapes provide stable electrical contacts, strong adhesion, and module reliability comparable to advanced solder‐free technologies while eliminating thermal curing.
