A New Three‐Dimensional Microstructure‐Resolved Model to Assess Mechanical Stress in Solid‐State Battery Electrodes

open access: yesBatteries &Supercaps, EarlyView.
Electrochemical–mechanical coupling in a 3D‐resolved microstructure of a solid‐state battery electrode. In all‐solid‐state batteries (ASSBs), the mechanical stress generated during electrode (de)lithiation plays a critical role in determining the cell longevity because of the induced degradation mechanisms.

Analyzing the Impact of Electrolyte Motion Induced Salt Inhomogeneity Effect on Apparent Aging: Role of Current Rates and Temperature Effects in Accelerated Cyclic Aging Tests in Li‐Ion Batteries

open access: yesBatteries &Supercaps, EarlyView.
Lithium‐ion batteries subjected to accelerated cycling can display recoverable capacity loss unrelated to real lifetime. This study explains the origin through loss of homogeneity of lithium distribution in the anode and salt concentration in the electrolyte.

Lifespan Pancreas Morphology for Control Versus Type 2 Diabetes Using AI on Largescale Clinical Imaging

open access: yesClinical Anatomy, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Understanding how pancreas size and shape change with normal aging is critical for establishing a baseline to detect deviations in type 2 diabetes and other pancreatic disease. We measure pancreas size and shape using morphological measurements from early development through aging (ages 0–90).

Conformational Trajectory of the Molecular Chameleon Grazoprevir from Formulation to Target‐Bound

open access: yesChemistry – A European Journal, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Macrocycles represent a promising class of beyond‐rule‐of‐5 (bRo5) therapeutics, capable of targeting proteins traditionally considered undruggable by conventional small molecules. Macrocycles exhibit intrinsic flexibility and often display a “chameleon‐like” ability to adapt to their environment, thereby enhancing their oral bioavailability ...

Magnetic Dynamics and Elongated Coherence of a High‐Spin Mn(II) Qubit Doped into a Metal‐Organic Framework

open access: yesChemistry – A European Journal, EarlyView.
This study demonstrates that dilute Mn(II) (∼0.02 mol%) doped into the Zn(II)‐MOF [CH6N3][Zn(HCOO)3] act as high‐spin (S = 5/2) spin qubits, achieving microsecond phase memory times above 50 K—the first report for Mn(II)‐based systems. Robust hydrogen‐bonding networks suppress relaxation and stabilize the lattice, extending T2.
