Sacrificial strategy towards the formation of vascular‐like networks in volumetric tissue constructs

open access: yesBMEMat, EarlyView.
This mini‐review highlights the latest progress in the sacrificial template‐enabled creation of patent vascular‐like networks, which can be incorporated into volumetric tissue constructs. Such microchannel networks can provide an immediate supply of nutrition and O2 to those cells residing next to the channels.

Comprehensive Real‐Time Insights for State of Health Prediction: A Comprehensive Framework for Online State of Health Assessment in Commercial Lithium‐Ion Batteries

open access: yesChemElectroChem, EarlyView.
CRISP is a low‐cost framework for state of health (SOH) assessment and degradation mechanism identification in lithium‐ion batteries. Running on a Raspberry Pi computer, it processes each reference performance test in ≈2.9 s, outputting physical quantities for SOH evaluation. Additionally, CRISP generates aged anode half‐cell voltages curves to be used

Enhanced Reversibility of Li‐Rich Binary Oxide Cathodes through Synergistic Interfacial Regulation for Improved Charge Transfer Kinetics at High Depth of Charge/Discharge

open access: yesChemElectroChem, EarlyView.
Synergistic interfacial regulation of Li‐rich binary oxide with 1 wt% Li1.4Al0.4Ti1.6(PO4)3 and 5 wt% polyaniline achieves nearly two orders of magnitude Li+ diffusion enhancement at high depth of charge/discharge, improving initial Coulombic efficiency, rate properties, and suppressing voltage decay by blocking structural degradation pathways. Lithium‐

Revolutionizing High‐Areal‐Capacity Silicon Anodes With a Multi‐Level Carbon Construction Strategy for Practical Li‐Ion Batteries

open access: yesCarbon Energy, EarlyView.
The three‐in‐one strategy produces high‐capacity CF/Si@CNFs–VCs anodes by growing CNFs and VCs on a CF framework. This 3D structure boosts conductivity and Li ion transport, and reduces silicon volume changes during cycling. ABSTRACT There is an urgent need to develop high‐areal‐capacity silicon (Si) anodes with good cycling stability and rate ...
