A Human Immuno‐Lung Organoid Model to Study Macrophage‐Mediated Lung Cell Senescence Upon SARS‐CoV‐2 Infection

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Immuno‐lung organoids are developed and used spatial transcriptomics to uncover how proinflammatory macrophages drive lung cell senescence via the THBS1–(ITGA3+ITGB1) axis in COVID‐19. To ensure broad accessibility, LungSpatialDB is created, an AI‐powered data portal, enabling intuitive exploration of spatial data and biological insights through ...

Advanced Biomaterial Delivery of Hypoxia‐Conditioned Extracellular Vesicles (EVs) as a Therapeutic Platform for Traumatic Brain Injury

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
This research introduces a novel approach to enhance neuroregeneration following Traumatic Brain Injury (TBI). Extracellular Vesicles (EVs) are isolated from human neural progenitor cells under hypoxic conditions, leading to enhanced expression of neurogenic and angiogenic factors.

Self‐Assembled Moiré Superlattices of Ti3C2Tx MXene for Future Twistronic Applications

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Scanning tunneling microscopy imaging reveals self‐assembled Moiré superlattices in MXene with distinct periodicities. The observed Moiré modulates the local density of states due to interlayer electronic coupling. This work provides an atomic‐scale understanding of MXene Moiré physics and establishes a foundation for twistronics in future quantum ...

Enhanced Bifunctional Electrocatalysis for Zinc‐Air Battery Using Porous Conductive Substrate with Abundant Anchoring Sites

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
A scalable nanocomposite synthesis is reported for a high‐performance bifunctional electrocatalyst by combining exfoliated layered materials—each active for OER and ORR—with a porous conductive substrate via high‐shear exfoliation. The electrocatalyst exhibits the lowest potential gap among reported transition metal‐based bifunctional catalysts.

eIF4E Enriched Extracellular Vesicles Induce Immunosuppressive Macrophages through HMGCR‐Mediated Metabolic Rewiring

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Here, it is revealed that ovarian cancer cells release extracellular vesicles enriched with eIF4E, which alters protein production in macrophages. This leads to increased expression of 3‐hydroxy‐3‐methyl‐glutaryl‐coenzyme A reductase (HMGCR), boosting cholesterol synthesis and activating an immunosuppressive pathway through X‐box binding protein 1 and ...

Geometrically Confined Strain Engineering of MoS2 via Quasi‐Van Der Waals Recrystallization of Gold Nanopillars

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Geometrically confined quasi‐van der Waals (qvdW) recrystallization of patterned gold induces localized tensile strain in monolayer MoS2, enhancing its optoelectronic performance. The strain, induced during annealing after hBN encapsulation, leads to a 65‐fold increase in photoluminescence and a two‐order magnitude boost in mobility, offering a ...
