The Validity of Dimensional Regularization Method on Fractal Spacetime
Svozil developed a regularization method for quantum field theory on fractal spacetime (1987). Such a method can be applied to the low‐order perturbative renormalization of quantum electrodynamics but will depend on a conjectural integral formula on non‐integer‐dimensional topological spaces.

Optimal Investment with Multiple Risky Assets for an Insurer in an Incomplete Market
This paper studies the optimal investment problem for an insurer in an incomplete market. The insurer′s risk process is modeled by a Lévy process and the insurer is supposed to have the option of investing in multiple risky assets whose price processes are described by the standard Black‐Scholes model.

More on Superconductors via Gauge/Gravity Duality with Nonlinear Maxwell Field
We have developed the recent investigations on the second‐order phase transition in the holographic superconductor using the probe limit for a nonlinear Maxwell field strength coupled to a massless scalar field. By analytical methods, based on the variational Sturm‐Liouville minimization technique, we study the effects of the spacetime dimension and ...

An atom embedded inside photonic crystals can form a photon‐atom bound state if the emission frequency of the excited atom is lying inside the photonic‐band gap of photonic crystals. We studied the dynamics of the energy relaxation and decoherence of a QPAB, qubit made by a photon‐atom bound state in photonic crystals.

Abstract A new, complete three‐moment bulk microphysics approach is proposed that includes the effects of all relevant microphysical processes on the evolution of ice particle size distribution (PSD) width. This extends the three‐moment approach that was originally implemented in the Predicted Particle Properties (P3) scheme that assumed sedimentation ...

Gauge and Lorentz Transformation Placed on the Same Foundation
We show that a “dynamical” interaction for arbitrary spin can be constructed in a straightforward way if gauge and Lorentz transformations are placed on the same foundation. As Lorentz transformations act on space‐time coordinates, gauge transformations are applied to the gauge field.

Adopt two types of damage variables, a and D, and make the bidirectional combined coordinate system and the bidirectional curves in the whole process, describing their damage evolutive behaviors on fatigue damage‐fracture to elastic‐plastic steels; communicate the cross‐referencing between their computing models and between describing curves at each ...

Symmetry of evidence without evidence of symmetry
The de Finetti Theorem is a cornerstone of the Bayesian approach. Bernardo (1996, p. 5) writes that its “message is very clear: if a sequence of observations is judged to be exchangeable, then any subset of them must be regarded as a random sample from some model, and there exists a prior distribution on the parameter of such model, hence requiring a ...

Recent Developments in Instantons in Noncommutative ℝ4
We review recent developments in noncommutative deformations of instantons in ℝ4. In the operator formalism, we study how to make noncommutative instantons by using the ADHM method, and we review the relation between topological charges and noncommutativity. In the ADHM methods, there exist instantons whose commutative limits are singular.
