Seismic noise in crystal neutron interferometry

open access: yesJournal of Applied Crystallography, Volume 58, Issue 6, Page 2037-2048, December 2025.
A split‐crystal neutron interferometer allows longer arm separation and length. However, since the visibility of the interference is sensitive to seismic and acoustic noise, it is crucial to design and operate the interferometer acknowledging this problem.

High‐Speed Interferometric Scattering Tracking Microscopy of Compartmentalized Lipid Diffusion in Living Cells

open access: yesChemPhysChem, Volume 26, Issue 21, November 5, 2025.
Scheme for the labeling of the cell membrane. The scattering tags, gold nanoparticles of two different diameters (Ø20 nm and Ø40 nm), target the biotinylated lipids inserted in the cellular membrane, owing to their streptavidin coating. The possible, although not certain, effects of cross‐linking are also highlighted (dashed line).

Evaluating Different Approaches for Modelling Rotor Aero‐Servo‐Dynamics in Frequency‐Domain Analysis of Floating Wind Turbines

open access: yesWind Energy, Volume 28, Issue 11, November 2025.
ABSTRACT Computationally efficient frequency‐domain models can play a very important role in facilitating conceptual design optimization of floating wind turbines (FWTs). However, achieving sufficient accuracy in such models is challenging due to the nonlinear variation of the aerodynamic loads, particularly the interaction between the floating ...

Computing the bridge length: the key ingredient in a continuous isometry classification of periodic point sets

open access: yesActa Crystallographica Section A, Volume 81, Issue 6, Page 427-437, November 2025.
We describe an efficient algorithm to compute the bridge length estimating the size of a complete isoset invariant, which classifies all periodic point sets under Euclidean motion. The fundamental model of any periodic crystal is a periodic set of points at all atomic centres.

Stratospheric Injection Lifetimes

open access: yesJournal of Geophysical Research: Atmospheres, Volume 130, Issue 18, 28 September 2025.
Abstract Material injected to the stratosphere by volcanoes and pyrocumulonimbus clouds (pyroCbs) is observed to have different lifetimes depending on the altitude, latitude, season of the injection, and removal processes. We adopt a framework that describes the stratospheric lifetime of injected material as the sum of lag and decay timescales and ...

Charge Transport and Carrier Polarity Tuning by Electrolyte Gating in Nickel Benzenehexathiol Coordination Nanosheets

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, Volume 37, Issue 32, August 14, 2025.
This work reveals that charge transport in nickel benzenehexathiol coordination nanosheets is governed by variable‐range hopping reflecting structural disorder. Electrolyte gating induces a switch in dominant carrier polarity from p‐type to n‐type and leads to an improvement in thermoelectric performance.

Path Integral Spin Dynamics for Quantum Paramagnets

open access: yesAdvanced Physics Research, Volume 4, Issue 8, August 2025.
The study has developed a path integral method, which is a classical approach, combined with atomistic spin dynamics simulations to calculate thermal quantum expectation values. This method can handle Hamiltonians with non‐linear terms, which are important for describing uniaxial anisotropies and mechanical constraints.

Generation of Electric Current by Magnetic Field at the Boundary: Quantum Scale Anomaly Versus Semiclassical Meissner Current Outside of the Conformal Limit

open access: yesAdvanced Physics Research, Volume 4, Issue 7, July 2025.
The paper discusses the role of scale anomaly in generating edge electric currents via the scale magnetic effect in scalar electrodynamics. Although the boundary electric current is much weaker than the Meissner current induced in superconducting materials, the scale anomaly can enhance conductivity near the boundary of the material.

Axion‐Like Interactions and CFT in Topological Matter, Anomaly Sum Rules and the Faraday Effect

open access: yesAdvanced Physics Research, Volume 4, Issue 7, July 2025.
This review investigates the connection between chiral anomalies and their manifestation in topological materials, using both perturbative methods based on ordinary quantum field theory and conformal field theory (CFT). It emphasizes the role of CFT in momentum space for parity‐odd correlation functions, and their reconstruction by the inclusion of a ...

A simple approach to biophysical profiling of blood cells in extranodal NK/T cell lymphoma patients using deep learning‐integrated image cytometry

open access: yesBMEMat, Volume 3, Issue 2, June 2025.
We developed a deep learning‐integrated image cytometry technique to profile biophysical attributes of blood cells from ENKTL patients. We demonstrate specific changes in cell size, eccentricity, and refractive index during treatment in a label‐free manner.
