Redox‐Active Interlayer with Gradient Adsorption and Catalytic Conversion Functionality for High‐Sulfur‐Loading Lithium‐Sulfur Batteries

open access: yesSmall Structures, EarlyView.
A hierarchically engineered parallel‐channel‐structured N‐doped carbon‐fiber network, embedded with atomically dispersed CoNC catalytic sites, is proposed as a redox‐active interlayer, wherein, its multifunctional architecture synergistically integrates gradient adsorption and catalytic conversion functionalities to suppress the polysulfide ...

Analysis of density matrix embedding theory around the non‐interacting limit

open access: yesCommunications on Pure and Applied Mathematics, Volume 78, Issue 8, Page 1359-1410, August 2025.
Abstract This article provides the first mathematical analysis of the Density Matrix Embedding Theory (DMET) method. We prove that, under certain assumptions, (i) the exact ground‐state density matrix is a fixed‐point of the DMET map for non‐interacting systems, (ii) there exists a unique physical solution in the weakly‐interacting regime, and (iii ...

Morphoevolutive drivers on a rapidly‐evolving soft rocky cliff and connected shore platform system

open access: yesEarth Surface Processes and Landforms, Volume 50, Issue 8, 30 June 2025.
A multi‐source approach combining UAV surveys, optical satellite images and meteo‐marine data identifies key morphoevolutive drivers on a soft rocky cliff system. Results highlight the role of lithology and structure as primary controls, with marine and rainfall forcing acting as preparatory agents in a rapidly evolving coastal landscape.

Carbon‐Cloth Supported ZnO Nanorods as Binder‐Free Zinc‐Ion Battery Anodes: An Investigation into the Electrode Formation Process

open access: yesAdvanced Sustainable Systems, Volume 9, Issue 6, June 2025.
A freestanding ZnO nanorod array on carbon cloth (ZnO/CC) is synthesized via hydrothermal growth and studied during its electrochemical reduction to Zn. Advanced characterization techniques (SEM, HRTEM, and STXM) reveal the morphochemical evolution of ZnO nanorods, providing unprecedented insights into the ZnO‐to‐Zn conversion mechanism.

Synthesis, Optical and Singlet Oxygen Generation Properties of Phenazinone‐Based Photosensitizer with 5‐Formyl‐2‐Thienyl Substituents

open access: yesAsian Journal of Organic Chemistry, Volume 14, Issue 6, June 2025.
Phenazinone chromophore incorporating a carbonyl group into the skeleton is recently found to be a new‐type halogen‐atom‐free‐photosensitizer possessing superior ability in singlet oxygen (1O2) generation. In this work, we have designed and developed the derivative with two 5‐formyl‐2‐thienyl substituents which is expected to lead to improvement of the

Guidelines for Studying the Oxidative Stress Damage Model on Drosophila melanogaster

open access: yesFuture Postharvest and Food, Volume 2, Issue 2, Page 124-138, June 2025.
This guideline introduced Drosophila as a research model to summarize in detail the research methods of indicators that can characterize oxidative stress. It generally includes four aspects such as generation of ROS, damage caused by ROS, antioxidant defense, and cell stress repair and apoptosis.

Distinct Network Morphologies from In Situ Polymerization of Microtubules in Giant Polymer‐Lipid Hybrid Vesicles

open access: yesAdvanced Biology, Volume 9, Issue 5, May 2025.
The successful in situ polymerization of microtubules in giant polymer‐lipid hybrid vesicles is illustrated. The microtubules formed in the giant hybrid vesicles exhibit different morphologies including lumenal network formation and membrane association. Abstract Creating artificial cells with a dynamic cytoskeleton, akin to those in living cells, is a

Wood jam mobility in a morphologically active river in northern Chilean Patagonia

open access: yesEarth Surface Processes and Landforms, Volume 50, Issue 3, 15 March 2025.
This study examined post‐eruption wood jam mobility and channel changes in the Blanco River. Floodplain collapses led to large sediment yields. High wood jam mobility rates were reported. Larger, less compact wood jams persist in stable areas; new and missing jams are smaller and linked to deposition and erosion, respectively.

Bioinspired SiC/Chitosan Impact Resistant Coatings

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, Volume 35, Issue 11, March 11, 2025.
Inspired by the impact surface of the mantis shrimp's dactyl club, a SiC/chitosan nanocomposite is developed as an impact resistant coating. High strain rate impact tests demonstrate that these coatings can reduce penetration depth and damage to brittle substrates.

Mechanisms and Strategies to Achieve Stability in Inkjet Printed 2D Materials Electronics

open access: yesAdvanced Electronic Materials, Volume 11, Issue 3, March 2025.
Achieving stability during 2D materials ink formulation, printing, and solvent evaporation to ensure the quality of printed electronics has posed tremendous challenges. This study reviewed the principles and methods of maintaining the stability from three aspects: colloidal dispersion mechanisms of 2D material inks, “phase diagram” for predicting ...
