Bone‐targeted hybrid extracellular vesicles for alveolar bone regeneration

open access: yesInterdisciplinary Medicine, Volume 3, Issue 3, May 2025.
Prolonged tooth loss causes a blade‐like narrowing of the alveolar bone, severely impairing chewing function and aesthetics and complicating subsequent orthodontic or restorative treatments. Bone morphogenetic protein‐2 (BMP‐2) can induce bone formation, but may cause many side effects in vivo due to insufficient cell targeting.

Lone Pair and Unique N‐Bridging of Novel Titanium Nitridophosphate

open access: yesAdvanced Science, Volume 12, Issue 13, April 3, 2025.
The analysis provides a comprehensive understanding of the structural stability and electronic factors that govern the bandgap, charge carrier mobility, and photovoltaic performance of novel titanium nitridophosphate (TiP4N8). Abstract In exploring advanced materials for solar power, the novel titanium nitridophosphate (TiP4N8) stands out due to its ...

A Complete Three‐Moment Representation of Ice in the Predicted Particle Properties (P3) Microphysics Scheme

open access: yesJournal of Advances in Modeling Earth Systems, Volume 17, Issue 4, April 2025.
Abstract A new, complete three‐moment bulk microphysics approach is proposed that includes the effects of all relevant microphysical processes on the evolution of ice particle size distribution (PSD) width. This extends the three‐moment approach that was originally implemented in the Predicted Particle Properties (P3) scheme that assumed sedimentation ...

Exploration‐Based Statistical Learning for Selecting Kernel Density Estimates of Spatial Point Patterns

open access: yesTransactions in GIS, Volume 29, Issue 2, April 2025.
ABSTRACT This paper addresses the use of nonparametric kernel density estimation (KDE) to estimate point‐based data density in spatial modeling using Geographic Information Systems (GIS). The paper highlights challenges in selecting the appropriate settings for generating the best fitting KDE surfaces and validating their accuracy, as many GIS packages
