A Dual‐Emissive DNA‐Templated Silver Nanocluster with Near‐Infrared I and II Emission
This study presents a dual‐emissive DNA‐stabilized silver nanocluster with a nanosecond‐lived NIR‐I emission band and a microsecond‐lived NIR‐II emission band. Mass spectrometry establishes that the nanocluster has molecular formula (DNA)2[Ag17]11+. DNA sequence variations reveal critical nucleobases for stabilization, and modifications at the DNA 5 ...

Demonstration of an electro‐optic phase shifter fabricated by inkjet printing liquid crystal on an integrated silicon photonics chip surface. On a completed silicon photonics wafer (including modulators, detectors, and metallization), the back‐end‐of‐line stack is opened up to inkjet‐print liquid crystal. A phase shift of 6 for 2.7 V is obtained within

Thermally Activated Delayed Fluorescence and Beyond. Photophysics and Material Design Strategies.
Photophysical properties of TADF molecules are determined by characteristic parameters that are discussed in detail(. Moreover, using femtosecond time‐resolved spectroscopy, quantum mechanical considerations, and state‐of‐art calculations, deeper understanding allows us to design breakthrough Cu(I) and organic TADF‐ OLED materials. For the latter ones,

This work combines molecular dynamics and finite‐difference time‐domain computational approaches to study the photothermal properties of melanin nanoparticle–based supra‐assemblies. Based on the results of this study, the binary mixtures of melanin and silica with higher concentrations of melanin and with more segregated levels of mixing are able to ...

Combining a biomimetic soft‐robot with deep‐learning data analytics sheds light on a unique peripheral dynamics seen in the biosonar system of bats: Bats modulate their ultrasonic biosonar signals upon emission as well as reception with variable, yet highly coordinated motion patterns of their noseleaves and pinnae.

Bifunctional WO3 Photoelectrodes Decorated by Inkjet Printing for Solar Supercapacitors
WO3 bifunctional photoelectrodes, produced by screen printing and then superficially decorated by inkjet printing, are successfully applied to prepare solar supercapacitors. Under illumination, the areal capacitance is enhanced thanks to the positive contribution of the photogenerated charges and the higher exposed area; its value becomes even more ...

CsPbBr₃ colloidal nanocrystals synthesized via hot‐injection (HI) and microwave‐assisted (MW) methods exhibit excellent optoelectronic properties for LEDs. Although the MW route is more energy‐efficient and eco‐friendly in the lab, industrially, its environmental impacts are similar, but with lower costs.

Nanoscale Curvature Regulates YAP/TAZ Nuclear Localization Through Nuclear Deformation and Rupture
This study uses experiments and biophysical modeling to examine the response and adaptation of cells to nanoscale topography of surfaces. It is shown that cytoskeletal assembly and nuclear localization of transcription regulatory factors such as yes‐associated protein (YAP) and transcriptional coactivator with PDZ‐binding motif (TAZ) can be tuned by ...

An unconventional magnetic order is observed in exfoliated CrBr3 layers, characterized by vertically correlated planar magnetic sub‐domains. Magnetic force microscopy, ab initio calculations, and micromagnetic simulations indicate that these sub‐domains arise from stacking faults modifying interlayer exchange coupling.
