Broadband Visible Wavelength Microcomb Generation In Silicon Nitride Microrings Through Air‐Clad Dispersion Engineering

open access: yesLaser &Photonics Reviews, EarlyView.
Air‐clad silicon nitride microring resonators enable visible microcomb generation in wavelength regions where oxide‐clad structures cannot achieve anomalous dispersion. Despite lower quality factors, enhanced nonlinearity from tighter mode confinement allows comb generation at standard pump powers (150 mW).

Room‐Temperature Mid‐Infrared Detection Using Metasurface‐Absorber‐Integrated Phononic Crystal Oscillator

open access: yesLaser &Photonics Reviews, EarlyView.
Room‐temperature mid‐infrared (MIR) detectors are demonstrated using lithium niobate surface acoustic wave phononic crystal oscillators integrated with metasurface absorbers. The devices exhibit rapid thermal response and simplified fabrication compared to suspended resonators.

Combs, Fast and Slow: Non‐Adiabatic Mean‐Field Theory of Active Cavities

open access: yesLaser &Photonics Reviews, EarlyView.
A unified mean‐field theory is developed that describes active cavities with dynamics of any speed, whether they be fast, slow, or anything in between. By creating an operator‐based framework that makes no adiabatic approximation, this approach delivers more efficient simulations and new analytical insights for a wide range of integrated combs, such as

Rest–Activity Disturbances Correlate with Core Features in Dementia with Lewy Bodies

open access: yesMovement Disorders Clinical Practice, EarlyView.
Abstract Background Sleep–wake disturbances are a clinically important and poorly studied feature of dementia with Lewy bodies (DLB) due to the challenges of in‐laboratory polysomnography in this population. Objectives To compare rest–activity rhythms in DLB, Parkinson's disease (PD), and age‐matched controls using home‐based wrist actigraphy and ...

A Constitutive Model Allowing for Particle Size‐Shape Coevolution

open access: yesInternational Journal for Numerical and Analytical Methods in Geomechanics, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT This paper presents a constitutive model developed within the Continuum Breakage Mechanics (CBM) framework. The proposed model explicitly accounts for particle shape evolution during the compression of crushable granular materials. Most importantly, the proposed formulation includes a novel expression of the dissipation function that enables a

Data‐Driven Ranking and Selection With Simultaneous Input Data Collection and Simulation

open access: yesNaval Research Logistics (NRL), EarlyView.
ABSTRACT In this paper, we propose a general and novel formulation of ranking and selection with the existence of streaming input data. The collection of multiple streams of such data may consume different types of resources, and hence can be conducted simultaneously.

An Implicit Enumeration Approach for Maximum Ratio Clique Relaxations

open access: yesNetworks, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT This article proposes an implicit enumeration approach to solve the maximum ratio s$$ s $$‐plex and the maximum ratio s$$ s $$‐defective clique problems. The approach is inspired by the classical Bron‐Kerbosch algorithm for enumerating all maximal cliques in a graph, which is extended to enumerating structures that are hereditary on induced ...
