A highly selective synthesis of an aldehyde‐functional polymonothiocarbonate (PMTC) was achieved through the copolymerization of a renewable‐sourced epoxide monomer and carbonyl sulfide. The epoxide monomer, derived from biomass‐based hydroxymethylfurfural (HMF) and epichlorohydrin (ECH), was produced in multigram quantities.
