On theories of random variables [PDF]
We study theories of spaces of random variables: first, we consider random variables with values in the interval $[0,1]$, then with values in an arbitrary metric structure, generalising Keisler's randomisation of classical structures.

Bijections between Łukasiewicz Walks and Generalized Tandem Walks [PDF]
In this article, we study the enumeration by length of several walk models on the square lattice. We obtain bijections between walks in the upper half-plane returning to the $x$-axis and walks in the quarter plane.

Łukasiewicz and Quine on Empirical and A Priori Sciences
DOI: http://doi.org/10.26333/sts.xxxiii2.07 Although Łukasiewicz and Quine do not share many common views, they agreed on one important point in the 1950s: they both denied the distinction between empirical and a priori sciences.

In cell culture experiments, LC‐Root extract showed high cytotoxicity and morphological changes in MCF‐7, HepG2, and A549 cancerous cell lines, but no effect was observed in non‐cancerous cell lines (Vero). ELISA for apoptosis and angiogenesis confirmed the significantly increased apoptosis (p < 0.0001) (Annexin‐V) and reduced angiogenesis ...

Olive Oil Polyphenols: A Promising Approach for Cancer Prevention and Therapy
The manuscript explores the anticancer potential of olive oil polyphenols, specifically hydroxytyrosol and oleuropein, which exhibit potent antioxidant, anti‐inflammatory, and anticancer properties. These bioactive compounds modulate key molecular pathways involved in the initiation and metastasis of cancer. They induce apoptosis, inhibit angiogenesis,

Interval-valued algebras and fuzzy logics [PDF]
In this chapter, we present a propositional calculus for several interval-valued fuzzy logics, i.e., logics having intervals as truth values. More precisely, the truth values are preferably subintervals of the unit interval.

Electrospun nanofibers from bacterial cellulose and polyhydroxyalkanoates (PHAs) offer sustainable bio‐derived scaffolds. These novel eco‐friendly materials demonstrate good cytocompatibility with NG108 neuronal cells. The blend approach enables the creation of versatile materials with tunable properties, openingp avenues for various tissue engineering

The present contribution might be regarded as a kind of defense of the common sense in logic. It is demonstrated that if the classical negation is interpreted as the minimal negation with n = 2 truth values, then deviant logics can be conceived as ...
