Late gadolinium enhancement (LGE) is a negative prognostic marker in hypertrophic cardiomyopathy (HCM). In pediatric patients with HCM, greater LGE presence is associated with a paradoxical reduction in left ventricular precordial lead voltages on the electrocardiogram.
