Pollinator community and generalisation of pollinator spectra changes with plant niche width and local dominance

open access: yesFunctional Ecology, Volume 37, Issue 11, Page 2967-2976, November 2023., 2023
Read the free Plain Language Summary for this article on the Journal blog. Abstract Floral traits are assumed to be the main determinants of plant's pollinator spectrum, yet a majority of temperate plant species possess traits allowing to a certain degree of generalisation of their pollinator spectrum.

New O Partial Photoionization Cross Sections Resolve Ionospheric EUV Remote Sensing Issues

open access: yesJournal of Geophysical Research: Space Physics, Volume 128, Issue 10, October 2023., 2023
Abstract The ionospheric O+ number density can be measured remotely during the day by observing its optically thick 83.4 nm radiance. Some ambiguity is present in the process of retrieving the density due to uncertainties in the initial excitation rate. This can be removed by observing a companion optically thin emission at 61.7 nm originating from the

Current Status and Trends in Nucleic Acids for Cancer Therapy: A Focus on Polysaccharide‐Based Nanomedicines

open access: yesMacromolecular Bioscience, Volume 23, Issue 9, September 2023., 2023
Polymers are employed in gene delivery as an alternative to lipid nanoparticles. Among polymeric materials, of particular interest there are those based on repetitive units of sugars, such as oligosaccharides‐based polymers and polysaccharides. Carbohydrates‐based polyplexes are widely investigated in preclinical studies and can be further translated ...

The Effects of a Small Geomagnetic Storm on Earth's Thermosphere and Ionosphere: ICON Observations of the 25 January 2021 Disturbance

open access: yesJournal of Geophysical Research: Space Physics, Volume 128, Issue 7, July 2023., 2023
Abstract Isolated geomagnetic storms during solar minimum offer the opportunity to observe the effects of solar wind on Earth's atmosphere without interference from other background changes in the ionosphere‐thermosphere system. Here, we observe the effects of a minor storm on the ionosphere at middle and low latitudes, where disturbances in ...

Material Properties of Sediments Steer Burrowers and Effect Bioturbation

open access: yesJournal of Geophysical Research: Biogeosciences, Volume 128, Issue 6, June 2023., 2023
Abstract Infaunal organisms mix sediments through burrowing, ingestion and egestion, enhancing fluxes of nutrients and oxygen, yet the mechanisms underlying bioturbation remain unresolved. Burrows are extended through muddy sediments by fracture, and we hypothesize that the cohesive properties of sediments play an important but unexplored role in ...

Treatment of COVID‐19 patients with a SARS‐CoV‐2‐specific siRNA‐peptide dendrimer formulation

open access: yesAllergy, Volume 78, Issue 6, Page 1639-1653, June 2023., 2023
MIR 19® (siR‐7‐EM/KK‐46) is a siRNA‐peptide dendrimer formulation targeting a conserved sequence in known SARS‐CoV‐2 variants. Patients with moderate COVID‐19 inhaled 3.7 mg/day of siR‐7‐EM/KK‐46 achieved the primary composite endpoint significantly earlier.

Reducing the Ionospheric Contamination Effects on the Column O/N2 Ratio and Its Application to the Identification of Non‐Migrating Tides

open access: yesJournal of Geophysical Research: Space Physics, Volume 128, Issue 4, April 2023., 2023
Abstract Prior investigations have attempted to characterize the longitudinal variability of the column number density ratio of atomic oxygen to molecular nitrogen (O/N2) in the context of non‐migrating tides. The retrieval of thermospheric O/N2 from far ultra‐violet (FUV) emissions assumes production is due to photoelectron impact excitation on O and ...

Hz. Muhammed’in Öfke Kontrolü (Hz. Ömer’le Diyalogları Bağlamında) / Prophet Muhammad’s Anger Management (Regarding the Dialogues with Hz. Omar)

open access: yesMukaddime, 2015
Hz.
