Growth Hormone‐Loaded 3D Printed Silk Fibroin‐Cellulose Dressings for Ischemic Wounds

open access: yesAdvanced Healthcare Materials, Volume 15, Issue 5, 2 February 2026.
3D‐printed wound dressings combining carboxymethyl cellulose, silk fibroin, and growth hormone accelerate healing in diabetic ulcers. These bioactive, customizable dressings enhance angiogenesis, cellular proliferation, and immune modulation. Proteomic analysis reveals activation of regenerative pathways and reduced fibrosis, highlighting their ...

Probing Ultrafast Coherent Bandgap Modulation in Monolayer WSe2 by Nonlinear Optics

open access: yesAdvanced Optical Materials, Volume 14, Issue 5, 2 February 2026.
This work sheds light on how resonant nonlinear optics blursthe line between perturbative and non‐perturbative nonlinear optics. Measured deviationsfrom the quadratic second‐harmonic scaling near the excitonic resonance arisefrom optical Stark and Bloch‐Siegert shifts. The experimental results arefurther underpinned by analytical and numerical analysis

Quantitative Assessment of Randomized DNA Base Sequences Using Multi‐Model Physical Analysis for High‐Fidelity Data Storage

open access: yesAdvanced Science, Volume 13, Issue 7, 3 February 2026.
This study quantitatively evaluates randomized DNA sequence design for digital data storage using three physics‐based models. By applying encoding schemes with strict homopolymer constraints, the framework improves base randomness, GC balance, and error resilience. Experimental validation via PCR and Sanger sequencing confirms 95–98% decoding accuracy,

Dimer models and conformal structures

open access: yesCommunications on Pure and Applied Mathematics, Volume 79, Issue 2, Page 340-446, February 2026.
Abstract Dimer models have been the focus of intense research efforts over the last years. Our paper grew out of an effort to develop new methods to study minimizers or the asymptotic height functions of general dimer models and the geometry of their frozen boundaries.

Comparison of Three‐Dimensional Accuracy Between Digital and Conventional Definitive Impressions of Edentulous Arches: A Clinical Study

open access: yesHealth Science Reports, Volume 9, Issue 2, February 2026.
ABSTRACT Background and Aims This clinical study evaluated the three‐dimensional discrepancies between digital and conventional definitive impressions of edentulous arches for complete denture fabrication. Methods Ten edentulous patients (n = 16 arches: 8 maxillary and 8 mandibular) were enrolled.

Steps Towards a Template for Fair Comparisons Between Single‐Use and Reusable Items

open access: yesPackaging Technology and Science, Volume 39, Issue 2, Page 137-159, February 2026.
This paper deals with factors taken up in reuse—single‐use packaging systems comparisons, that are often seen to be missing from LCA studies. The losses and the size of product pool in a reuse system show large effects on the performance of the reuse system and its possible break‐even point.

Random encounter modelling as a viable method to estimate absolute abundance of reef fish

open access: yesMethods in Ecology and Evolution, Volume 17, Issue 2, Page 598-614, February 2026.
Abstract Remote underwater video (RUV) surveys are increasingly replacing diver‐based underwater visual censuses (UVCs) in fish ecology studies, especially on coral reefs. However, extracting reliable estimates of abundance or density from video footage is a major challenge, with most studies using a metric of relative abundance, MaxN (maximum number ...

Mössbauer Spectroscopy on Antimony Borosulfates Reveals Weak Coordination Behavior

open access: yesAngewandte Chemie International Edition, Volume 65, Issue 4, 22 January 2026.
The weakly coordinated trivalent antimony atoms show record‐breaking low chemical Mössbauer shifts, and in combination with several monovalent cations including silver, nitrosonium, thallium cations a rich crystal chemistry of closely related but different crystal structures. Sb(NH4)[B(SO4)2]4 showed a non‐linear SHG response comparable to that of KDP.

Evaluation of the ZIG-ZAIDS game: an entertaining educational tool for HIV/Aids prevention

open access: yesCadernos de Saúde Pública
This article presents the evaluation process for the ZIG-ZAIDS game, investigating the material's applicability in formal and informal educational contexts, i.e., how the game has been used by health professionals, parents, and the target population (pre-
