Food assessment for pesticide's contamination in Chugchilán parish crops in Cotopaxi (Ecuador)

open access: yesJournal of Food Process Engineering, Volume 46, Issue 11, November 2023., 2023
Abstract The objective of this study is to evaluate the contamination by pesticides in food grown in the parish of Chugchilán. From 258 families that were part of the main project, a sub‐sample of 26 families was obtained and, for each of them, a sample of food was extracted and evaluated by chromatographic methods.

Asymmetric Catalytic Transformations of Aza‐ortho‐ and Aza‐para‐Quinone Methides

open access: yesChemCatChem, Volume 15, Issue 13, July 7, 2023., 2023
Aza‐quinone methides (aza‐QMs) are transient intermediates, which are able to react easily with a variety of nucleophiles providing a variety of N‐heterocycles. The catalytic methodologies for the derivatization of aza‐QM into chiral derivatives have been recently reported and involve organocatalytic or organometallic approaches.

Synthesis, Spectral Characterization of Several Novel Pyrene-Derived Aminophosphonates and Their Ecotoxicological Evaluation Using Heterocypris incongruens and Vibrio fisheri Tests

open access: yesMolecules, 2016
Four diphenyl pyrene-derived aminophosphonates were synthesized. Attempts were made to synthesize diphenyl N-(R)-α-methylbenzylamino(pyren-1-yl)methylphosphonate (3e) in order to obtain the chiral aminophosphonate bearing a pyrene moiety.

(3+2)‐Cyclization Reactions of Unsaturated Phosphonites with Aldehydes and Thioketones

open access: yesChemistry – A European Journal, Volume 29, Issue 33, June 13, 2023., 2023
Unsaturated phosphonites are excellent substrates in new (3+2)‐cyclization reactions with aldehydes or thioketones. The cyclisation reactions proceed smoothly at room temperature and lead to the fast formation of the previously inaccessible phosphorus heterocycles 1,3‐oxa‐ and 1,3‐thiaphosphole‐3‐oxides in good to excellent yields.

Stereoselective synthesis of α-amino-C-phosphinic acids and derivatives [PDF]

open access: yes, 2016
α-Amino-C-phosphinic acids and derivatives are an important group of compounds of synthetic and medicinal interest and particular attention has been dedicated to their stereoselective synthesis in recent years. Among these, phosphinic pseudopeptides have

Immunogenic Cell Death Inducing Metal Complexes for Cancer Therapy

open access: yesAngewandte Chemie International Edition, Volume 62, Issue 21, May 15, 2023., 2023
Metastases and tumor relapse are the leading causes of cancer‐associated deaths. Among other approaches, much research interest has been devoted to immunogenic cell death inducing agents that are able to trigger localized cell death of the cancer cells as well as induce an immune response inside the whole organism.

Cinchona based squaramide catalysed enantioselective Michael addition of a-nitrophosphonates to aryl acrylates: enantioselective synthesis of quaternary a-aminophosphonates [PDF]

open access: yes, 2013
Several cinchona based squaramide catalysts were applied to the asymmetric Michael addition of α-nitroethylphosphonates to acrylic acid aryl esters, resulting in high yields and enantioselectivities.

Cytotoxic effect and molecular docking of 4-ethoxycarbonylmethyl-1-(piperidin-4-ylcarbonyl)-thiosemicarbazide—a novel topoisomerase II inhibitor [PDF]

open access: yes, 2012
The preliminary cytotoxic effect of 4-ethoxycarbonylmethyl-1-(piperidin-4-ylcarbonyl)-thiosemicarbazide hydrochloride (1)—a potent topoisomerase II inhibitor—was measured using a MTT assay.

Stereoselective Synthesis of α‐Aminophosphonic Acids through Pudovik and Kabachnik‐Fields Reaction [PDF]

open access: yes, 2017
Representative examples concerning the Pudovik and Kabachnik‐Fields reactions as the main strategies for the stereoselective synthesis of α‐aminophosphonic acids are discussed, classifying these reactions according to the chiral auxiliary and chiral ...
