Quantitative analysis of impurities in ε-caprolactam by Raman spectroscopy

The Analyst, 1995
Laser Raman spectroscopy was used for the quantitative analysis of the most common impurities contained in Iµ-caprolactam: adipic acid, sodium sulfate and ammonium sulfate. Calibration graphs were constructed from spectra obtained from pellets with known quantities of Iµ-caprolactam and each of the impurities.

Facile synthesis of ε-caprolactam by cyclodehydration of 6-aminocaproic acid on adsorbents

J. Chem. Soc., Chem. Commun., 1993
Iµ-Caprolactam is readily synthesized by refluxing a suspension of 6-aminocaproic acid adsorbed on zeolite, silica gel, or alumina in toluene.

Polarography of palladium and indium at a dropping-mercury electrode with ε-caprolactam as a complexing agent

The Analyst, 1983
The polarographic behaviour of palladium(II) and indium(III) has been studied using Iµ-caprolactam as the complexing agent at a constant ionic strength (0.1 M potassium nitrate). Well defined diffusion-controlled, irreversible waves were obtained for both metals. The forward rate constant (k0f,h) and the transfer coefficient (nα) were calculated.

Dynamical study of 2-pyrrolidone, δ-valerolactam and ε-caprolactam from quadrupolar relaxation of nitrogen-14 and oxygen-17

J. Chem. Soc., Faraday Trans. 2, 1982
The quadrupolar coupling constants of nitrogen-14 and oxygen-17 in 2-pyrrolidone, δ-valerolactam and Iµ-caprolactam in H2O and CCl4 solutions have been determined by using the 14N and 17O n.m.r. linewidths and carbon-13 relaxation times. Within the limits of experimental error affecting these parameters, the quadrupolar couplings of 14N and 17O have ...
