Representation by Degenerate Genocchi Polynomials

open access: yesJournal of Mathematics, Volume 2022, Issue 1, 2022., 2022
The aim of this study is to represent any polynomial in terms of the degenerate Genocchi polynomials and more generally of the higher‐order degenerate Genocchi polynomials. We derive explicit formulas with the help of umbral calculus and illustrate our results with some examples.

Degenerate r‐Bell Polynomials Arising from Degenerate Normal Ordering

open access: yesJournal of Mathematics, Volume 2022, Issue 1, 2022., 2022
Recently, Kim‐Kim introduced the degenerate r‐Bell polynomials and investigated some results which are derived from umbral calculus. The aim of this paper is to study some properties of the degenerate r‐Bell polynomials and numbers via boson operators.

Identities on Changhee Polynomials Arising from λ‐Sheffer Sequences

open access: yesComplexity, Volume 2022, Issue 1, 2022., 2022
In this paper, authors found a new and interesting identity between Changhee polynomials and some degenerate polynomials such as degenerate Bernoulli polynomials of the first and second kind, degenerate Euler polynomials, degenerate Daehee polynomials, degenerate Bell polynomials, degenerate Lah–Bell polynomials, and degenerate Frobenius–Euler ...

Two New Generalizations of Extended Bernoulli Polynomials and Numbers, and Umbral Calculus

open access: yesJournal of Mathematics, Volume 2022, Issue 1, 2022., 2022
Among a remarkably large number of various extensions of polynomials and numbers, and diverse introductions of new polynomials and numbers, in this paper, we choose to introduce two new generalizations of some extended Bernoulli polynomials and numbers by using the Mittag–Leffler function and the confluent hypergeometric function.

New Properties on Degenerate Bell Polynomials

open access: yesComplexity, Volume 2021, Issue 1, 2021., 2021
The aim of this paper is to study the degenerate Bell numbers and polynomials which are degenerate versions of the Bell numbers and polynomials. We derive some new identities and properties of those numbers and polynomials that are associated with the degenerate Stirling numbers of both kinds.

Special Numbers and Polynomials Including Their Generating Functions in Umbral Analysis Methods

open access: yesAxioms, 2018
In this paper, by applying umbral calculus methods to generating functions for the combinatorial numbers and the Apostol type polynomials and numbers of order k, we derive some identities and relations including the combinatorial numbers, the Apostol ...

Observational versus antibiotic treatment for uncomplicated diverticulitis: an individual‐patient data meta‐analysis

open access: yesBJS (British Journal of Surgery), Volume 107, Issue 8, Page 1062-1069, July 2020., 2020
This individual‐patient data meta‐analysis of two RCTs, including 1109 patients, showed that non‐antibiotic management of acute uncomplicated diverticulitis is safe, given the comparable rates of adverse events up to 1 year compared with routine antibiotic treatment.

Some Identities Involving Derangement Polynomials and Numbers and Moments of Gamma Random Variables

open access: yesJournal of Function Spaces, Volume 2020, Issue 1, 2020., 2020
The problem of counting derangements was initiated by Pierre Rémond de Montmort in 1708. A derangement is a permutation that has no fixed points, and the derangement number Dn is the number of fixed point free permutations on an n element set. Furthermore, the derangement polynomials are natural extensions of the derangement numbers.

Ionospheric Response to the 8 April 2024 Total Solar Eclipse: Plasma Depletion and Eclipse‐Driven MsTIDs

open access: yesSpace Weather, Volume 24, Issue 4, April 2026.
Abstract The total solar eclipse on 8 April 2024 provided a unique opportunity to investigate the three‐dimensional (3‐D) ionospheric response under enhanced solar activity over North America. In this study, we processed high‐density GNSS observations from ∼1,700 stations to derive vertical total electron content and applied a multi‐term sinusoidal ...

Diabetes‐Related Distress in Spanish Adults: Clinical, Sociodemographic and Psychosocial Correlates

open access: yesDiabetes/Metabolism Research and Reviews, Volume 42, Issue 3, March 2026.
ABSTRACT Introduction Diabetes‐related distress refers to the emotional strain experienced by individuals who live with diabetes and face continuous demands of treatment and self‐management. Elevated distress is associated with poor adherence, impaired metabolic control, and diminished quality of life.
