Force-Induced Transition of π–π Stacking in a Single Polystyrene Chain [PDF]
Although π–π interactions have been studied for several decades, the quantification of the strength of π–π interactions in a macromolecule remains a big challenge.

(3Z)-3-Benzylidene-1H-benzimidazo[1,2-a]imidazol-2(3H)-one
In the title compound, C16H11N3O, the molecular conformation is partially determined by an intramolecular C—H...π(ring) interaction. In the crystal, pairwise N—H...N hydrogen bonds form dimers, which associate into stacks through a combination of C—H...O,

Redox dual‐defects (Cs substitution and O vacancies) in 2D hydrated WO3 steer O2 activation toward selective singlet oxygen evolution. WO‐CO achieves 8.6–15.8 times higher 1O2 production than single‐defect or pristine catalysts, enabling efficient pollutant mineralization via a pathway‐selective photocatalytic mechanism.

Occurrence and stability of lone pair–π stacking interactions between ribose and nucleobases in functional RNAs [PDF]
The specific folding pattern and function of RNA molecules lies in various weak interactions, in addition to the strong base-base pairing and stacking. One of these relatively weak interactions, characterized by the stacking of the O4′ atom of a ribose ...

Time‐Resolved Magnetization Switching Dynamics Driven by Orbital Torques
Du et al. reveal nanosecond magnetization switching driven by orbital currents using time‐resolved Hall detection. The measurements separate domain nucleation from domain wall propagation and show that Joule heating strongly assists switching by lowering energy barriers.

Analysing π-π stacking interactions in lignin nanoparticles from molecular simulations – insights and lessons learned [PDF]
A special molecular association is π–π-stacking, driven by weak interactions within aromatic compounds. The π–π-stacking interactions can occur in either a sandwich-like or T-shaped manner. In this study, a method to recognise π–π-stacking from classical
