In this work, an experimental study of the pyrolysis of intumescent compositions by oxygen scanning calorimetry was carried out. The physicochemical properties of the intumescent compositions are considered. The mechanism of their flame retardant action is described. The methods of thermal analysis of polymers (TGA, DSC, PCFC) are studied.
