A part of laser pulse energy which is absorbed by plasma changes from 8.5 % to 65 % at a changing of laser beam diameter which irradiates Xe jet-puff target. And this result is very important, because the EUV radiation power of the plasma is characterized by absorption.

Variation of absorption of terahertz radiation in lateral electric field was investigated in GaN epitaxial layers. Different behaviour of the absorption modulation in electric field was observed for radiation polarized along electric field and perpendicular to it.
