An experimental study of the possibility of directional light coupling from a microdisk (MD) laser using a strip-loaded slot waveguide was performed. The lasing characteristics of a 10-μm microdisk laser with InAs/InGaAs QDs active region were studied by photoluminescence spectroscopy.
