In this thesis, we analyze the power supply system of St. Petersburg, the feasibility of developing a gas-insulated circuit breaker for these parameters were analyzed. The analysis of the designs of gas-insulated switches 330 kV, 63 kA and their technical characteristics are carried out. The disadvantages of the considered switches are shown.
