Abstract This article defines and explains type development across the lifespan and summarizes what other researchers have presented as a reference. A timeline for development is identified, and ways to differentiate development of a function from the development of other personality characteristics are described.

Abstract The presence of the brown citrus mite, or oriental red mite, Eutetranychus orientalis, a species in the EPPO A2 list of pests recommended for regulation as a quarantine pest, is reported in Italy for the first time.
