روانشناسی بالینی و شخصیت, 2005 مقاله حاضر رابطه بین باورهای مربوط به درد و درد سرطان و تأثیر این باورها را بر سطح سازگاری بیماران مبتلا به سرطان مورد مطالعه قرار داده است. در این مطالعه ۲۳۲ بیمار با میانگین سنی ۶/۳۴ سال (26/15=SD) شرکت داشتند.
