The goal of Islamic shari’a is to protect the five elemental aspects of human’s life, namely religion, soul, progeny and dignity, wealth, and intelligence. To protect the religion, Islam obligates its disciples to perform the six pillars of faith, the five pillars of submission, and the principle of good manners.

This study departed from the notion that the meanings of words in the Qur’an are bounded by the context. Words of similar meaning in general actually have significant differences. Words related to the five senses, for example, in the Qur'an are interpreted differently according to the context of the sentence.
