本文从东南亚沉船遗址和陆地遗址考古发现的瓷器资料入手,试图复原14-16世纪初中国对东南亚瓷器输出的真实情况。同时,将视野放置于整个南海贸易的背景,探讨该时期中国与东南亚各国的贸易往来历程,其间贸易势力的此消彼长,以及因贸易而导致的中国陶瓷生产和外销的主流品种的变化。 根据东南亚瓷器发现数量和种类的变化,本文粗略的把14-16世纪初分为三期来论述。第一期14世纪前60年的元代中晚期,沉船和陆地遗址都发现了大量的元瓷,这是在统治者实行对外开放政策,私营海外贸易空前繁荣的背景下,元代的瓷器得以大量输出的结果。
