Evaluation and difference analysis of multi-functional land use of farmers in suburban tourism areas from the perspective of livelihood types(生计类型视角下城郊乡村旅游地农户土地多功能利用评价及其差异分析)

open access: yesZhejiang Daxue xuebao. Lixue ban, 2023

Can tropical nature reserves provide and protect cultural ecosystem services? A case study in Xishuangbanna, China 热带自然保护区能否提供和保护生态系统文化服务?来自中国西双版纳的案例研究

open access: yesIntegrative Conservation, Volume 2, Issue 3, Page 119-132, September 2023., 2023
Benefits derived from leisure and recreational, and wildlife cultural ecosystem services (CES) were predominantly safeguarded by nature reserves. In contrast, folk and custom CES and spiritual and religious CES were less reliant on these reserves due to intrinsic community‐based protection. Abstract Cultural ecosystem services (CES) play a pivotal role

Implications for biological invasion of non‐native plants for sale in the world's largest online market

open access: yesConservation Biology, Volume 37, Issue 4, August 2023., 2023
Abstract Internet trade is increasingly recognized as a dispersal pathway of non‐native plant species that is difficult to monitor. We sought to identify non‐native flora present in the Chinese online market, the largest e‐commerce market globally, and to decipher the effect of existing trade regulations, among other variables, on e‐trading patterns ...

Spatial mismatch between wild bee diversity hotspots and protected areas

open access: yesConservation Biology, Volume 37, Issue 4, August 2023., 2023
Abstract Wild bees are critical for multiple ecosystem functions but are currently threatened. Understanding the determinants of the spatial distribution of wild bee diversity is a major research gap for their conservation. We modeled wild bee α and β taxonomic and functional diversity in Switzerland to uncover countrywide diversity patterns and ...

Modelling past and future land‐use changes from mining, agriculture, industry and biodiversity in a rapidly developing Southeast Asian region 采矿、农业、工业和生物多样性保护影响下东南亚快速发展区域过去和未来土地利用变化模拟

open access: yesIntegrative Conservation, Volume 2, Issue 1, Page 43-61, March 2023., 2023
We apply an integrative perspective to modelling current and future land‐use change in Kuantan, Malaysia, a location with highly biodiverse forests, and also a hotspot of land‐use change. The region is representative of the types of development challenges faced by countries in Southeast Asia, which are also biodiversity hotspots.

Combined impacts of future climate‐driven vegetation changes and socioeconomic pressures on protected areas in Africa

open access: yesConservation Biology, Volume 36, Issue 6, December 2022., 2022
Abstract Africa's protected areas (PAs) are the last stronghold of the continent's unique biodiversity, but they appear increasingly threatened by climate change, substantial human population growth, and land‐use change. Conservation planning is challenged by uncertainty about how strongly and where these drivers will interact over the next few decades.

The delivery of Cultural Ecosystem Services in urban forests of different landscape features and land use contexts

open access: yesPeople and Nature, Volume 4, Issue 5, Page 1369-1386, October 2022., 2022
Abstract Urban greenspace provides citizens with important cultural ecosystem services (CES). Identifying landscape features and land use contexts that facilitate CES delivery is critical for guiding urban greenspace management. However, how landscape features and urban context interact with each other in influencing the CES of greenspaces remains ...
