Exploring the Direct and Indirect Relations of E‐Book Narration and Bilingual Parent–Child Talk to Children's Learning Outcomes in EFL Shared Reading

open access: yesInternational Journal of Applied Linguistics, Volume 35, Issue 3, Page 1134-1148, August 2025.
ABSTRACT E‐books, powered by multimedia and interactive features, are widely used to support young children's language and literacy development. This study examines the relations of e‐book narration and bilingual parent–child talk to children's learning during shared reading. Data from 121 English learners in China and their parents were analyzed using

Racial and ethnic disparities in obstetric anal sphincter injury: cross‐sectional study in the USA

open access: yesUltrasound in Obstetrics &Gynecology, Volume 65, Issue 6, Page 778-789, June 2025.
ABSTRACT Objectives Racial disparities in obstetric anal sphincter injury (OASI) are poorly understood; their investigation by parity, obstetric history and mode of delivery may provide insight into which individuals are at the greatest risk for OASI. We aimed to quantify the association of race and ethnicity with OASI, stratified by parity, obstetric ...

Automated multivolume placental reconstruction using three‐dimensional power Doppler ultrasound and infrared camera tracking

open access: yesUltrasound in Obstetrics &Gynecology, Volume 65, Issue 5, Page 624-632, May 2025.
ABSTRACT Objectives Placental insufficiency contributes to many obstetric pathologies, but there is no bedside clinical tool to evaluate placental perfusion. We have developed a method to acquire multiple three‐dimensional (3D) power Doppler (PD) ultrasound (US) volumes of placental vasculature, with infrared camera tracking of the precise spatial ...

Detection of human cytomegalovirus cell‐free DNA in pregnant women with symptomatically infected fetuses: proof‐of‐concept study

open access: yesUltrasound in Obstetrics &Gynecology, Volume 65, Issue 4, Page 470-477, April 2025.
ABSTRACT Objective To evaluate the presence and levels of cytomegalovirus (CMV) cell‐free DNA (cfDNA) fragments in women pregnant with a fetus with symptomatic congenital CMV (cCMV). Methods The study comprised nine women whose fetuses were diagnosed with cCMV between June 2019 and July 2024 at 20 + 4 to 34 + 1 weeks' gestation (n = 8) or neonatally (n

Impact of deep or ovarian endometriosis on pelvic pain and quality of life: prospective cross‐sectional ultrasound study

open access: yesUltrasound in Obstetrics &Gynecology, Volume 65, Issue 3, Page 372-383, March 2025.
ABSTRACT Objective To assess whether premenopausal women diagnosed with deep or ovarian endometriosis on transvaginal sonography (TVS) were more likely to suffer from dyspareunia and pelvic pain symptoms, and have a lower quality of life, compared to women without sonographically diagnosed deep or ovarian endometriosis.

Routine 36‐week scan: diagnosis and outcome of abnormal fetal presentation

open access: yesUltrasound in Obstetrics &Gynecology, Volume 65, Issue 2, Page 154-162, February 2025.
ABSTRACT Objectives First, to report the incidence of non‐cephalic presentation at a routine 36‐week ultrasound scan, the uptake and success of external cephalic version (ECV) and the incidence of spontaneous rotation from non‐cephalic to cephalic presentation.

Hair fragility (trichorrhexis nodosa) in alopecic Pomeranian dogs

open access: yesVeterinary Dermatology, Volume 36, Issue 1, Page 64-73, February 2025.
Background – Alopecia associated with hair cycle arrest (HCA, Alopecia X) is well‐recognised in Pomeranian dogs. The authors are unaware of reports of hair fragility in affected dogs. Hypothesis/Objectives – Following the observation of frequent hair shaft abnormalities in alopecic Pomeranians, we hypothesised that hair fragility events would be more ...

中压交联电缆接头复合界面受潮缺陷的诊断方法研究

open access: yesGaoya dianqi, 2014

Incorporation of human–wildlife interactions in ecosystem‐based management to enhance conservation of endangered guitarfish

open access: yesConservation Biology, Volume 38, Issue 6, December 2024.
Abstract Growing human use of the marine environment increases the proximity of humans to marine wildlife and thus likely increases human–wildlife interactions. Such interactions influence perceptions of nature and promote or undermine conservation. Despite their importance, human–wildlife interactions are rarely considered in ecosystem‐based marine ...

高压断路器弧触头动态接触电阻研究

open access: yesGaoya dianqi, 2018
