Abstract This paper describes a method for investigating clinical process, Layered Analysis, which combines therapist countertransference reports and multi‐faceted microanalytic research approaches. Findings from the application of Layered Analysis to video‐recorded micro‐events of rupture and repair in four psychoanalytic parent–infant psychotherapy ...

Highlights Interventional techniques offer novel therapeutic approaches for metabolic disorders such as obesity and type 2 diabetes mellitus, with advantages such as less invasiveness, fewer potential complications, and lower costs. By embolizing specific arteries feeding ghrelin‐producing cells, bariatric arterial embolization not only promotes weight

Background – Mycophenolate mofetil (MMF) is the prodrug of mycophenolic acid (MPA) which acts as an immunosuppressive agent. During the biotransformation of MMF to MPA, additional metabolites including MPA phenol glucuronide (MPAG), MPA acyl glucuronide (AcMPAG) and MPA phenol glucoside (MPG) are formed.

HighlightsAutophagy is closely related to retinal neurovascular units in diabetes retinopathy. Different cells participate in the occurrence and development of diseases through autophagy, and targeted autophagy may be a new direction of treatment in the future. Emphasized the close relationship between diabetic retinopathy (DR) and autophagy Summarized

Highlights The gender‐specific role of sphingolipids in obesity‐related metabolic dysfunctions is unclear. The aim of this study is to identify ceramide species by liquid chromatography‐mass spectrometry that accumulate in central fat in relation to status of diabetes and gender for subjects with a body mass index ≥40 kg/m2 or > 35 kg/m2 with ...

Highlights This prospective study compares 15 patients with immune‐checkpoint induced diabetes mellitus (CPI‐DM) with a propensity score matched cohort of patients with other diabetes types. Diabetic ketoacidosis at onset and autoimmune comorbidity is more frequent in CPI‐DM patients. This can be avoided by regular glucose measurements and education on

Highlights Coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID‐19) is caused by SARS‐CoV‐2; recent modeling of the structure of SARS‐CoV‐2 spike glycoprotein, which mediates viral‐host‐cell entry, predicts interactions with dipeptidyl peptidase 4 (DPP4) in addition to angiotensin‐converting enzyme 2.
