野生动物学报, 2018 大象作为动物园主要展示动物吸引着大量游客,近年来,我国各地动物园也纷纷针对建筑陈旧大象馆进行新建或改造、丰容,如成都动物园、北京动物园等的大象馆都刚刚进行了改造。但针对国内高纬度地区、年均气温低、冬季相对漫长的动物园大象馆的相关改造,北方森林动物园为国内首例。本文以北方森林动物园为例阐释大象展区的现状,进而探讨运用动物生物学特征营造饲养展区尺度与展区环境的方法,以期尽可能地展示其自然行为,减少刻板行为的发生,从而提高了大象的福利水平和健康水平。
