Use of a Cytobrush for Sampling the Ear Canal of Dogs With Otitis Externa
Veterinary Dermatology, Volume 37, Issue 2, Page 227-235, April 2026.Cytological examination of the ear canal is essential for evaluating dogs with otitis externa (OE). The conventional sampling method uses a swab. However, the cytobrush (gynaecological cervical brush), already used for cytological collection from other anatomical sites, has not been adequately investigated for this purpose in dogs with OE.

野生动物学报, 2015 采用样线法于2013年11月～2014年1月对西昌学院北校区校园5种生境(乔灌林、疏林灌丛、草丛、水域、建筑区生境)的鸟类组成进行调查,共记录鸟类57种,隶属7目26科。留鸟43种,夏候鸟7种,冬候鸟4种,旅鸟4种; 古北界13种,东洋界34种,广布种10种。白鹭、[树]麻雀、黑喉红臀鹎为校园鸟类优势种。对5种生境鸟类多样性分析结果表明:乔灌林鸟类多样性指数(H=3.025)最高,建筑区鸟类多样性指数(H=1.669)最低; 乔灌林与疏林灌丛的相似性指数(Cj=0.538)最高,乔灌林与水域的相似性 ...
