Timing of hydrologic anomalies direct impacts on migration traits in a flood pulse fishery system

open access: yesJournal of Applied Ecology, Volume 60, Issue 3, Page 494-506, March 2023., 2023
We designed a spectral analysis framework to quantify hydrological variation and linked it with fishery harvest records. Quantified effect sizes of hydrologic anomalous events demonstrated one designed hydrograph for fishery benefits: properly timed prolong drought followed by a strong flood pulse.

Timescales and contribution of heating and helicity effect in helicity‐dependent all‐optical switching

open access: yesRare Metals, Volume 42, Issue 1, Page 234-243, January 2023., 2023
Graphical abstract Abstract The heating and helicity effects induced by circularly polarized laser excitation are entangled in the helicity‐dependent all‐optical switching (HD‐AOS), which hinders understanding the magnetization dynamics involved. Here, applying a dual‐pump laser excitation, first with a linearly polarized (LP) laser pulse followed by a

Near‐term ecological forecasting for dynamic aeroconservation of migratory birds

open access: yesConservation Biology, Volume 35, Issue 6, Page 1777-1786, December 2021., 2021
Abstract Near‐term ecological forecasting has the potential to mitigate negative impacts of human modifications on wildlife by directing efficient action through relevant and timely predictions. We used the U.S. avian migration system to highlight ecological forecasting applications for aeroconservation.

Biodiversity‐driven spatial conservation planning to delineate temporally stable regions

open access: yesConservation Biology, Volume 40, Issue 3, June 2026.
Abstract The accelerating loss of biodiversity underscores the critical need for effective conservation strategies, particularly in the face of climate change and anthropogenic pressures. We devised a conservation planning framework that adopts a temporal stacking approach to species distribution models and landscape connectivity analyses. These models

Experimental insights into characteristic properties and applications of two‐dimensional Janus transition metal dichalcogenide (TMDC) materials: a comprehensive review

open access: yesRare Metals, Volume 44, Issue 11, Page 8161-8197, November 2025.
Graphical abstract AbstractThe studies on the synthesis of two‐dimensional (2D) Janus materials have made significant progress over the years. They offer new opportunities to increase the potential usage of Janus transition metal dichalcogenide (TMDC) materials in different application areas due to their unique structural, electrical, optical and ...

Next‐Generation Sequencing of Fecal DNA: A Novel Insight Into the Mitogenome Phylogeography of the Snow Leopard (Panthera Uncia) 粪便dna的二代测序:对雪豹线粒体组谱系地理结构的新洞察

open access: yesIntegrative Conservation, Volume 4, Issue 3, Page 277-286, September 2025.
This study provides an innovation to address the challenge in accessibility to samples and genetic markers in Snow leopard conservation genetic studies. We performed next‐generation sequencing (NGS) on 19 fecal samples obtained from the eastern Qinghai‐Tibet Plateau, and successfully assembled 17 complete mitogenome sequences (~16,720 bp) and ...

Effectiveness of protected areas in the Caucasus Mountains in preventing rangeland degradation

open access: yesConservation Biology, Volume 39, Issue 3, June 2025.
Abstract As land use intensifies globally, it increasingly exerts pressure on protected areas. Despite open, nonforested landscapes comprising up to 40% of protected areas globally, assessments have predominately focused on forests, overlooking the major pressures on rangelands from livestock overgrazing and land conversion.

How Many Floods Have Occurred in China in the Past Decade? A Perspective From Social Media

open access: yesEarth's Future, Volume 13, Issue 4, April 2025.
Abstract Global climate change has led to frequent and widespread flood disasters in China. Traditional flood disaster investigations mainly focus on major flood events, and small‐scale flood events are often overlooked. This study utilized the Sina Weibo social media platform to detect flood events in 370 cities in China from 2012 to 2023.

Effects of nutrient pulses on exotic species shift from positive to neutral with decreasing water availability

open access: yesEcological Applications, Volume 34, Issue 1, January 2024.
Abstract Temporal fluctuation in nutrient availability generally promotes the growth of exotic plant species and has been recognized as an important driver of exotic plant invasions. However, little is known about how the impact of fluctuating nutrients on exotic species is dependent on the availability of other resources, although most ecosystems are ...

水力脉冲射流钻井提速技术在江苏油田的应用

open access: yesShiyou jixie, 2015
