野生动物学报, 1991 对随机抽取的388号黄羊（Procapra gutturosa）某些指标（牙齿生长替换及磨损度、I牙冠比、体重、前臂长、后足长、尾长、眶间宽、身长、头长）与性别、年龄相关性的分析表明:前面项指标无显著性性别差异,且与年龄显著相关,可以单独作为年龄鉴定指标;后七项指标具显著性性别差异,与年龄关系不密切,只能用于区分成幼或3.5岁以前的年龄鉴别。另外发现高龄个体的牙齿磨损速度有降低的趋势,性成熟年龄雌性有超前雄性一年的趋势。
