Unpacking value destruction at the intersection between public and private value

open access: yesPublic Administration, Volume 101, Issue 4, Page 1207-1226, December 2023., 2023
Abstract Public services do not always create value. Rather, when poorly organized and/or delivered, they can destroy value and make service users' lives worse. However, such “value destruction” is presently weakly conceptualized in public management theory. Consequently, this paper is devoted to the empirical examination of value destruction and hence

Evaluation of hypochlorous acid as an ear flush in dogs with chronic otitis externa

open access: yesVeterinary Dermatology, Volume 34, Issue 2, Page 134-141, April 2023., 2023
Abstract Background Chronic otitis externa (OE) in dogs frequently requires anaesthetised ear flushing. Objectives To evaluate hypochlorous acid as an ear flushing and antimicrobial agent in dogs with chronic OE. Animals Twenty dogs with chronic OE caused by the same organisms bilaterally.

Relational peace versus pacific primacy: Configuring US strategy for Asia's regional order

open access: yesAsian Politics &Policy, Volume 15, Issue 1, Page 141-152, January 2023., 2023
Abstract This article challenges the presumption that American commitment to the greater Indo‐Pacific region has positive effects on regional stability. It argues that the degree to which America's strategic choices in Asia embrittle or consolidate peace depends on how they intersect with relational configurations of regional order.

Effect of an ear cleaner instillation containing lipacids in a model of re‐acidification of the external auditory canal in dogs

open access: yesVeterinary Dermatology, Volume 33, Issue 5, Page 402-406, October 2022., 2022
Abstract Background In humans, the acidic pH of the ear canal plays a protective role against infection and a change towards alkalinity of the external auditory canal (EAC) is a local factor in the progression of acute to chronic otitis externa (OE).

Local treatment for canine anal sacculitis: A retrospective study of 33 dogs

open access: yesVeterinary Dermatology, Volume 33, Issue 5, Page 426-434, October 2022., 2022
Abstract Background Little information has been published regarding treatment of canine anal sacculitis (AS). Objectives Primary objective: determine the outcomes of AS local treatment at the referral dermatology service of the authors' institution. Wartime captivity and homecoming: culture, stigma, and coping strategies of formerly abducted women in post‐conflict northern Uganda

open access: yesDisasters, Volume 46, Issue 3, Page 654-676, July 2022., 2022
One of the three durable solutions to mass displacement preferred by leading agencies is that survivors return to their home communities. It is believed that families and communities provide the best hope for recovery and reintegration owing to familiarity, care, and shared culture.

Chemical and microbiological stability of diluted ceftazidime in three different solutions under three storage temperatures over a 28 day period

open access: yesVeterinary Dermatology, Volume 32, Issue 5, Page 456-e124, October 2021., 2021
Background – Ceftazidime (CAZ) solutions are being used based on anecdotal reports for otitis externa complicated by multidrug‐resistant Pseudomonas aeruginosa (MDR PA). The chemical and microbiological stability of these proposed compounded solutions have not been evaluated, and likely are affected by the diluent and storage duration or temperature ...

林地枯落物抗冲机理研究

open access: yesShuitu Baochi Xuebao, 1993

Research on sediment reduction benefits of engineering measures on waste rock slope under different rainfall intensities [PDF]

open access: yes
The dump slope of open-pit coal mines is characterized by steep gradients, loose structure, and poor stability, leading to severe soil erosion under heavy rainfall.
