open access: yesGuangtongxin yanjiu, 2005

Hierarchical VO2@BiVO4 Films Decorated With Porous BiVO4 Nanoplates for Durable and Self‐Cleaning Smart Windows

open access: yesRare Metals, Volume 45, Issue 6, June 2026.
ABSTRACT VO2 is a promising thermochromic material, but it is still limited by low transparency, weak solar modulation, and poor stability. Here, we develop a coordination‐compound‐derived strategy to construct a hierarchical BiVO4/VO2@BiVO4 film with a core–shell@nanosheet structure.

Wings of Change: Motivations, Challenges, and Environmental Concerns Among Birdwatchers

open access: yesWildlife Letters, Volume 4, Issue 2, Page 83-93, June 2026.
Birdwatching in Nepal has high potential to support avain biodiversity and tourism. Conservation was identified as the primary motivation for birdwatching, followed by enjoyment and achievement purposes. Health/wellbeing benefits, social and economic factors showed moderate representation, whereas academic motivation played a relatively minor role ...

An Asymmetric Sandwich‐Structured Hydrogel Enables High‐Output Stable Moist–Electric Generation and Self‐Powered Sensing

open access: yesRare Metals, Volume 45, Issue 4, April 2026.
ABSTRACT Moisture‐enabled electricity generation technology offers a new paradigm for sustainable energy harvesting, but its practical applications are still limited by issues such as low output power and insufficient long‐term stability. In this paper, an asymmetric sandwich‐structured hydrogel moist–electric generator (SSHMEG) with an ion ...

Gravity‐Driven Inclination Sensor Based on Liquid Metal Interface Migration in Anisotropic Microchannels for Information Transmission and Continuous Surface Topography Scanning

open access: yesRare Metals, Volume 45, Issue 2, February 2026.
ABSTRACT With the continuous advancement of materials science and technology, the rare metal gallium has increasingly emerged as a promising alternative to the toxic metal mercury. Although existing research has predominantly focused on the high electrical conductivity and excellent deformability of liquid metal (LM), its intrinsic fluidic property ...

Advancing Water Security in the Tropical and Subtropical Regions: An Integrative Topic Modeling Approach

open access: yesWorld Water Policy, Volume 12, Issue 1, February 2026.
ABSTRACT Water security in tropical regions faces escalating pressures from climate change, land‐use shifts, and population growth. We conducted a bibliometric review of 1146 peer‐reviewed articles (1964–2023) on tropical water security. Latent Dirichlet Allocation identified 13 thematic topics and their evolution. Publications rose sharply after 2012,

Effect of a Spray Containing Occlusive Agents, Humectants and Physiological Lipids on Skin Hydration of Healthy Dogs When Applied After Bathing With a Chlorhexidine 2%/Miconazole 2% Shampoo

open access: yesVeterinary Dermatology, Volume 37, Issue 1, Page 140-147, February 2026.
Background: Normal hydration of the canine epidermis is imperative for cutaneous homeostasis. Xerosis may be encountered in canine atopic dermatitis and may be aggravated by topical antiseptics. Hypothesis and Objectives: To evaluate the hydrating properties and the safety of a spray (Sensiderm spray; MP Labo) when applied after shampooing healthy dogs

Identifying potentially suitable and accessible refugia to mitigate impacts of an emerging disease on a rare tree

open access: yesConservation Biology, Volume 39, Issue 6, December 2025.
Abstract Identifying refugia from emerging threats is vital to ensure the persistence of rare and threatened species, but modeling habitat distribution for these species is challenging and the role of people in refuge management is rarely considered. Myrtle rust is an emerging infectious disease that represents a grave threat to the rare wetland tree ...

Spatial Phylogenetic Analysis of Chinese Lizards: Insights Into Ecological Drivers and Conservation Gaps

open access: yesIntegrative Conservation, Volume 4, Issue 3, Page 430-441, September 2025.
Our study identifies southern China, including mountainous regions and islands, as key areas rich in phylogenetic diversity, and phylogenetic endemism of lizards that are currently under‐protected. Current protected areas however do not adequately cover regions that are critical for preserving the evolutionary history of lizards.

Agricultural Lands as Important Wintering Habitats for the Critically Endangered Yellow‐Breasted Bunting in Nepal

open access: yesIntegrative Conservation, Volume 4, Issue 2, Page 134-142, June 2025.
Our study addresses the significant knowledge gap regarding the wintering population and habitat utilization of the Yellow‐breasted Bunting (Emberiza aureola) in Nepal, providing crucial insights that can aid in the conservation of this critically endangered species in wintering grounds.
